Pros +
- The pool, the breakfast, the restaurant, proximity to the centre and other landmarks
- The rooms were too basic. They didn't even provide bathroom sandals. I waited for almost 2 hours to be checked in, and that is because I complained about the waiting time being too long. There were cobwebs in the bathroom. For a place that has been in existence for a long time, the rooms look so old and unmaintained. They had a TV in the room, but it was a very tiny one and couldn't be switched on. The showers were old and rustic. The amount I paid was inclusive of breakfast, but the breakfast was just a joke and really wasn't a buffet breakfast as they had intially stated. You'd expect a wide range of dishes or maybe bitings but no, it was the bare minimum. Not to mention there were so many ants in the room, and on one day there was a millipede in our shower.
- Nice place, quite comfortable and well located
Cons -
- breakfast is the weakest point in the Villasalso green green swimming pool, unfortunately
- poor reception, like you are new at that place and no one receives you or give directions ?
- Very insecure. One room key can open others. Staffs allows outside people to leave with other's properties. No security during the night. Horrible and traumatic experience.

Location was good
Very insecure. One room key can open others. Staffs allows outside people to leave with other's properties. No security during the night. Horrible and traumatic experience.
A nice, quiet and relaxing place to stay - we enjoyed a few days away here very much. Lovely big breakfast with generous portions of fresh fruits. Excellent and tasty pizzas. The reception and waiting staff were superb and very accommodating - thank you very much. It was nice to have the swimming pool there to use (when it wasn't being cleaned!)
The pool opening hours and cleaning times don't seem very accommodating of guests - it was crazy to plead with the staff to be "allowed" to swim before 10am in the morning, although it was good that they agreed!!Prices of meals are quite high and that caused us to eat out more than in - you can easily spend KSH 1,000 per person or more which seems unnecessary with other, much cheaper restaurants around the area. Pizzas were excellent though!
The staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant and bar were excellent and the pool is huge.
Breakfast was okay. We liked the fruit and fresh juice. Instant coffee in Kenya, not so much.
Our room had a bathroom flooding. Booking.com informed us we would have a mini fridge in the double room, there wasn't. Internet was only available from the restaurant but not in the rooms.
Everything
Pool timing but the owner explained the reason. And a pair of Extra slippers won't hurt.
The place is quiet
The staff need to be trained more. Low customer service skills. They need to welcome guests and explain the way things work eg breakfast times etc.
nothing much - the place had no Aircon , old bathrooms , alittle too dusty , many small ants breakfast - cold eggs / sausages and toast is not toast.
the owners wife - was very rude - during the day there was a live band around the Swimmimg area so the kids did not swim and opted to take a dip in the evening. she screamed for them to come out - we requested for half hour she actually threatened to call the police. it was absolutely absurd and sad. the children were traumatized.
The entertainment...plus clean swimming pool.
There was miscommunication between booking.com and the mgt of makuti villas such that I was told my booking was minus breakfast while I knew it was breakfast inclusive. The staff afew such that it takes alot of time to get what u have ordered, coz I went for my breakfast at 9.15am I was served at 11am.
Food was good.
Facility is run down. While eating we had to fight off local game without much help from anyone.
The room was comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Very clean rooms. Breakfast was good, when you're not fighting the monkeys or crows who will steal from your plate if you're not watching!
Not much really. The pool is open to the public so it was quite crowded at the weekend and a little bit noisy.
The property is delightful... less that 1k from the Kilifi creek beaches and Kilifi town centre, in a tranquil spot on the edge of town. The proprietors Francesco and Carolina are Italian! You know what that means! They flew the chef to Europe for training. That means exquisite coffee, fantastic pizza and pasta and homemade overran to die for. That alongside a big swimming pool and bambo buildings... I speak highly enough about the place!
The breakfast was the weak bit of the offering... though it’s enough to get you started and the fresh fruit is of course very good
The atmosphere at the place
The loud music on the videoclips
Strategic location
The Staff were hardworking
