Location, comfort, ambience & great breakfast.

The room was on an interior courtyard near the door. There weren't too many people going through the passage, so there was very little noise. I guess there was a celebration (Saturday night) where all heck broke loose, but I was barely aware of it due to being off the street. They went out of their way to provide me some ice for my wine ( it's very uncommon for European hotels to have ice machines).

I can't really complain about anything. I only stayed one night.

The breakfast room was lovely and the breakfast was good. there was a lovely patio and terrace to enjoy a drink later in the afternoon and evening . The staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations. The restaurants were within an easy walk through the medieval center of the town . It was lovely! We loved Dinan!

Our only complaint was the comfort of the bed. The mattress , in my opinion, should be of higher quality.

Highly recommend Hotel de la Porte Saint Malo-Dinan! It's family-run and it's clear that everyone works tireless to ensure that everything is perfect. We couldn't have asked for more -- great hospitality, location, rooms and breakfasts. In addition, the town of Dinan is charming. It was a perfect stay.

The location, cleanliness, rooms were amazing! The host, Kevin, was so kind and accommodating. Breakfast was amazing. Wish we could have spent more time there. Will return for sure!!

Everyone at this lovely little hotel was incredibly friendly and helpful from booking us a place for supper to being really accommodating when our ferry home was cancelled. Dinan is beautiful and the location is excellent for exploring the town.

Beautiful, charming, and quaint right near the beautiful main old city but located in a quiet area. Check in and hotel staff were incredibly kind and helpful.

The hosts were amazing! The breakfast is well worth it and delicious!

Because it was a little warm, we had to sleep with our window open and since we were lower to the ground, we had quite a bit of noise through the night.

The staff was exceptional and they really helped providing us with local recommendations. It is a lovingly maintained place right outside the historic district of Dinan. We had been traveling through Normandy and Dinan was the prettiest city we visited and we wish we had booked 2 nights here

All of the workers we interacted with were incredible! The breakfast was great too and they were very understanding when we left with our key on accident (oops!). Definitely recommend!

The room was beautiful, clean and newly restored.

Be aware that the low ceilings and bump your head if you are not cautious.

Absolutely charming small hotel run by a wonderful couple who have put so much thought into making this accommodation truly special. Great location, just a short walk to old part of town. Parking just around corner (we had no problem finding a spot).Plentiful and tasty breakfast with lots of choice including local specialties. Room was clean and spacious with modern facilities. All in all, truly wonderful!

Kevin was absolutely wonderful. We did have some trouble parking but then he let us park in his private garage which was quite nice.. room was truly great.

Beautiful historic building, tastefully appointed, great location, warm welcome by Kevin. Delicious breakfast. Would love to return!

It is lovely old building just outside city walls but very modern- bathrm was well designed.

This was seriously outstanding: the receptionist—who I didn’t quite get his name—made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we walked in and was super friendly and helpful. The actual hotel is stunning, so clean, beautifully furnished and had a wonderful breakfast with something for everyone. For the price, this is hands down sensational. You really made my mum and I feel so welcome in Dinan! Thank you so much.
