About
Located right in the center of Saint-Malo, Le Croiseur Ginette is a resolutely feminine house of charm. Much more than a hotel, it's a real invitation to immerse yourself in the Breton soul through its crafts, its history and its unique atmosphere, driven by the energy and passion of its two owners, Émilie and Juliette. The spirit of Brittany is reflected in every nook and cranny of our establishment, with a meticulous decor composed mainly of objects found throughout the region. Just renovated, Le Croiseur Ginette blends modern comfort with authentic character, with top-of-the-range beds made in Brittany. The hotel also features a terrace, a communal lounge, a bar, free WiFi and a snack service for all. The location is ideal, right in the heart of the ramparts of Saint-Malo intra-muros. The Saint-Vincent esplanade is just a stone's throw away, as is the bus to Mont-Saint-Michel and a 20-minute walk from the train station, while the ferry terminal is just 10 minutes from Jersey and Guernsey. The Palais du Grand Large is also a 600-yard walk away. Our nonsmoking rooms are equipped with free WiFi, a bathroom with shower or bath, certified organic products, a connected TV and quality bedding for a pleasant and relaxing stay. Breakfast is served at the hotel, with a selection of local products. There are also plenty of restaurants, shops and a thalassotherapy center nearby to complement your stay. We offer a few parking spaces at €20 per day in a secure underground car park located inside the city walls. It's an ideal location, provided your vehicle isn't too large: the streets of Saint-Malo are better suited to compact cars. During high season, some streets become pedestrianized, which can make access more difficult. Nothing insurmountable, but it's best to have a little patience and, if possible, a good copilot to guide you. We recommend that you contact us in advance so that we can best organize your arrival.

- Loved this stay for St. Malo. We took the ferry in from England and were able to leave our bags here while we explored St. Malo for a while. This hotel was very easy to find and it was right up the street from our favorite cafe that we went to in France. We would recommend this place to stay!
- lovely hotel, very cozy, well located, quiet, comfortable.
- We had a wonderful stay here. The hostess was warm, friendly, and very helpful, and she gave us a beautiful room with a balcony. The rooms are tastefully decorated, very clean, and feel brand new. The restaurant downstairs is cozy and stylish. The location is perfect — right by the main gate and close to the big cafés and restaurants, yet tucked away on a quiet street. It’s truly a gem, and the price is very reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended.
Cons -
- All good. A little note – the rooms are small. We also booked one with a balconette and this was great.
- Room was too hot to sleep. Breakfast ok but not brilliant.

The hotel was cute and clean and cosy. It was very centrally located, but off the main corridors where the day-tripping tourists walk through the streets. We enjoyed fresh seafood at the restaurants all within steps of the hotel. We also enjoyed a beer on the patio after spending the day at the beach.

Location and lovely clean room.
Room was too hot to sleep. Breakfast ok but not brilliant.
Great location,clean, friendly,clean
Beautiful hotel, welcoming, hospitable staff, and a wonderful buffet breakfast. We could not have had a better experience. Traveling as a family (2 adults, 2 young adults), the hotel accommodated our request to have adjacent rooms. An exceptional stay, highly recommend!
Nothing!
The location was really great for roaming around the town center. Was very close to loads of different parking lots outside of the walls, which all had electric hook ups.
Really wish there would have been a tea kettle.
Standards of cleanliness were exceptional, Location great 4min walk from the car park Staff are very professional and helpful
The staff were really friendly and helpful.
There's not much they could do to fix this given the hotel location/building. But the lift is a little coffin like.
We liked every thing as we have stayed before, room very clean, bed was very comfey, we paid for breakfast very good, and in a good location for every thing, great stay will be back,
Position in the city, secure parking for cars not too far away @€20 pn
Rooms were very small ,the lift was even smaller, impossible to get cases and a person in the lift had to carry suitcases up 4- floors to our room.
Great value. Clean and convenient with nice staff
Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Super location near great eating places and right in the heart of town.
Tiny lift so had to walk up four+ flights of stairs but we understood the lack of space for anything else. As our group are in their 70s and 80s it would have been good to know in advance. A plug near a mirror where you could sit down to use a hair dryer would have improved our comfort.
Very quaint, small and compact. Proprietors are very helpful and friendly. Great service and lovely breakfasts . Terrace attached to room which is super in nice weather.
Tiny bathroom and walls are a bit thin.
A clean comfortable room in the heart of historic St Malo, very close to lots of restaurants and bars.
The world's smallest elevator - just enough room for one modestly sized person and a small piece of luggage. No bicycle storage although there are cycle racks in the square right outside the hotel.
Location was very central, hot showers, they held our luggage for the morning when we checked out.
The rooms are so very tiny, hardly enough room to open our suitcases. The bed wasn’t made properly with the sheets bunched up at the end of the bed. The place only has one tiny elevator for either bags or 1 person max, otherwise lots of stairs. We found hair in our beds and towels.
The staff were excellent. Very polite and helpful and spoke good English. There was a luggage lift that was useful as we are 70 and carrying suitcases up stairs is daunting now. The room was very clean and the shower in the end suite very good. The central location in the old fish market is very handy as you are in near cafes , restaurants and various shops only a short walk away.
Pretty good selection considering the space available is quite limited. All fresh and plenty for our needs.
Again, because of its historic location space is limited and bedroom was small with almost no storage space. However, we managed this by only taking up to the room what we needed for the night. And, we returned our cases to the car.
Staff were great, catering for our very late arrival. Lovely room with outside space. Brilliant central location. Good breakfast.
No lift, unfortunately, but we managed.
