Domaine de la Barbinais

It’s very charming as the building is like an old French farmhouse. The breakfast was good and fairly priced. The rooms have the extra single bed instead of sofa which I think is better. The price is very reasonable which is why we picked the place. We were not disappointed a bit. Not far from the center of Saint Malo. Very clean and newer amenities.

Will need a car to get there as it’s kind of in the middle of nowhere

Not starting longer time

Such a beautiful setting and so close to St Malo. The bedding and the bed were wonderful. Everyone we met were so kind and helpful. Breakfast was immense, truly the best we've had in France. The room was in the old house and was very very quiet, but we were on the top floor, rug was definitely worn and floor was terribly creaky. I hope we weren't disturbing guests below us. If course not a lot can be done about the floors since it's such a grand old building many hundred years old, but refreshing the wallpaper and new carpet would make it a 10 instead of an 8.

We got delayed on our journey and we knew we were going to arrive after check in closed. I messaged the hotel to inform them and they quickly responded to let us know how to access our room. When we finally arrived, a member of staff had stayed late to assist us and even helped us carry bags to the room. First class service.

Lovely place in the countryside just 10 min by car from Saint Malo, we received a great welcome from Louis, who patiently waited for us due to our late check in. The breakfast in the morning was a great buffet where we had the pleasure to taste the delicious yogurt made in Saint Malo. We recommend this place and would book it again whenever we go back to Saint Malo.

Lovely quiet location though sights of Saint Malo very easily accessible. Nice big room with outdoor access for the dogs. Comfortable bed & linens. Breakfast delish! Great stay.

Not a thing.

Very clean and comfortable although basic. All the necessities were there but no frills. At this price I wouldn’t expect any. Amazing value for money and well recommended.

Very convenient location for the ferry at St Malo

Extremely basic accomodation - but good for ferry terminal....

Room is good size and nice bathroom.

Wi-Fi is not working, even data roaming had a very poor signal so I was not able to login and do any work. Didn’t see any bar or terrace on this property as described on facility list.

The size of the bathroom is big

As I reach the hotel late, Booking.com gave the wrong location. In the end I need to go to Google map to find the actual place which is nearby on the next street. Not a good experience as it was very dark. Luckily I managed to find the hotel listed on Google map

Pretty location just outside St Malo.

No soundproofing between floors . Noisy upstairs neighbours meant very little sleep.

Friendly staff, really close to ferry port. Excellent breakfast. Would stay again.

Relaxed setting, quiet. Beautiful surroundings. Exceptionally helpful staff / owner. Near to ferry made it very convenient. Short drive to all amenities. Spacious room, and our dog was welcome. Convenient, free ample parking. Suitable for my accessible needs, too. Late arrival possible. Lovely light, airy breakfast room with outside seating, great coffee, and an enjoyable selection of food. Thankyou!

Not the property's fault... It was an exceptionally hot day, in excess of 40 that particular day, no fan or air con, and so a very sticky night made it a little difficult to sleep. Unfortunately, we didn't discover the attachment to open the dormer window until the following morning, as tucked away in a corner. I think the kitchen facilities were shuttered and locked off as we booked B and B, under the circumstances access to the fridge for cold water and to put my medication in, would have been useful. None of which would put us off visiting here again, just a couple of additional suggestions for added comfort.

No air con, road noisy so couldn’t have window open , allocated loft room but not asked about mobility on booking

Quiet but super clean Domaine in the countryside! Perfect for running in the evening and/or chill after a long day of work

The location of the property was fabulous, being in the countryside but very close to St Malo, it was lovely and quiet.We didn't book breakfast but a lovely member of staff on duty offered us a drink before checking out.Plenty of car parking space close to the part of the hotel we were staying in.

The stairs were very steep getting up to the room and a bit of a struggle with your luggage.We were surprised at how out dated the shower cubicle was in the ensuite. The shower mechanism and shower head could be upgraded/modernised and you need to replace the shower curtain with a screen.It was a beautiful room except for the ensuite which let the room down!
