- The room decor was nice, the bathroom was refurbished, the location was easy to find and to walk to from the city walls, and the staff was very attentive.
- Location. Very friendly and helpful receptionist
- Great service, great location
Cons -
- The room and bathroom were very small.
- Parking
- We found it expensive for the value. Prices in France are high for most things, hotels are no exception. Perhaps a breakfast included would be a nice perk.

Great service, great location
The room is clean, conveniently locates within the walled town, and excellent breakfast in bed.
Parking
Location was excellent. Being inside the walled city was exceptional. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and clean. We would definitely stay again. The room had a fridge, thank you!

Bedroom good size staff very helpful great location
The location was excellent for accessing the port for boat trips and the ferry home. It was also very convenient for the supermarkets, cafes and restaurants.
The hotel is based in the center of the old city, the area is very scenic. We had a large room, with an extra single bed, which is great for a longer stay.
The fact that the shower head can't be mounted in the wall is annoying.
We received a "renovated" room, but it didn't really look like it, so not sure how the unrenovated rooms looked. The room was quite large which was nice. The location is great, we could walk anywhere in a few mins.
The room didn't have a proper hair dryer only a very old plastic tupe that was on the wall which is very ineffective with long hair, takes ages to dry and gets very hot due to the plastic. The windows were facing the street which was unexpectedly noisy (cars, deliveries etc.).:
The room was really comfortable and well appointed. The location was ideal to access the centre of the city shops and restaurants. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel.
Great and quiet location for the early morning ferry. 10 mins max on foot .
The hotel was in a great area. The staff was so nice and helpful. Saint-Malo was a beautiful city.
The bathroom shower door in our room wasn’t a full door, so water did leak all over the bathroom floor.
size of the room, size of bathroom, bed quality
I was thinking about giving the place 10 points for everything. And then I heard the noises coming through walls. The street noise is quite well shielded, but the walls between the rooms seem very thin. I could almost understand every word spoken in the bathroom next door and when water was used, it was incredibly noisy. Luckily my neighbours went to bed early-ish.I didn’t try the breakfast, everything else apart from the noise was excellent.
Breakfast was especially good! Lovely dual aspect room and friendly, helpful staff. We arrived late but it Wass no problem.
Location was within the walls
The upselling of the room on arrival and pet charge. Upgrade to a delux was un-necessary, and no different to the standard double we booked. Literally nothing more and room small. We couldn’t be bothered to complain but should have after staying in many other hotels and accommodation we have now compared and reviewed the booking. Parking awful.
The position where the hotel was.
The room was very stuffy when we went to the room, and when we went for breakfast there wasn’t much food left , most of it had been eaten by earlier guests.
Nice mattressFriendly staff
Weak noise isolation (from the hall and outside)
Charming room, felt more personal than big brand corporate places
Walls a bit thin, could hear neighbouring guests
The room was ok. It was very dark even with all the lights on. We were travelling to the port with a dog and the room was large enough to accommodate him.The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and was on hand to help with parking and other queries. Breakfast was goodGood location for port.
