Poor bed very small room

The hotel is close to the western ramparts of St Malo. An easy walk to the sailing club and the beach. It is also an easy walk from the outside wall parking location.. The restaurant was excellent both for dinner and breakfast.

Because of the building undergoing outside renovations, I had booked an upgraded room but we ended up with a window off the kitchen atrium. It was noisy at night

Location inside walled city. The room and washroom were renovated and very nice !!!

It did not have air conditioning, we had to open the window and the small of the food fried at the restaurant was uncomfortable and got inside the room. Late when restaurant was probably closed, we could hear the voices of the people talking at the end of their shift

It was in the Intramuro area of Saint Malo, convenient for sightseeing, shopping and the beach. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had very good service, were able to leave our bags, and have a taxi arranged for us.

Stairs and the space was a little tight for people our age and girth.

The location was close to other parts of town when visiting it.

The room was comfortable, clean and spacious with a tea service and excellent shower. They offer a good breakfast in a bright room separate from the main restaurant and our dinner at the restaurant was excellent. There is easy access to the beach and city walls and it is convenient for catching the ferry or bus.

Scaffolding on the outside and locked doors gave the impression that the hotel was closed, but using the phone number posted on the door (which meant our having to incur roaming charges on our phone), we got the keyless entry code and were directed to our room. The wi-fi was weak and signal kept dropping in the evening. Not a problem for us, but other guests may be uncomfortable with the sliding bathroom door that does not fully cover the doorway opening.

We had 2 rooms. One had a bad odor. Also pretty confusing figuring out getting into the hotel as it is primarily a restaurant.

Hotel was clean and tidy, room was outstanding and bed was very comfy.

The beakfast was disappointing poor selection and poor coffee. It would benefit the hotel to have a lounge area.

Great location and the rooms have been renovated really well. Didn't use the lift but there was one there if needed. Beautiful view from room 14 across the square fo The Grande Be hotel. A very good shower too!

The bathroom had a persistent drain smell which wasn't very pleasant but we kept the door shut so it didn't impact the room too much.

We loved the location. Right in the Centre of the old walled city. Breakfast was great. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom clean and neat.

Everything was nice. The location is very near to everything. The room was comfort and clean, but a little bit small. And the bathroom door did not close properly and this was a little uncomfortable.

Basically a restaurant cum hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Good location next to the city wall. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the old town and beaches of Saint Malo.

Restaurant was closed for 2 week days. In general quiet but one night people at the bar next door were blathering until sunrise. We missed something from our luggage but the hotel management did not make much effort to resolve this issue.

Lack of air conditioning and fire alarm started at 8 am

Our room for three was a good size, and had a great view over the public square, Place des Frères Lamennais. We ate in the restaurant one night, which was very good and reasonably priced. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and some spoke English well.

Would not suit people with access needs, as there is no step-free access. Also, the charming but tiny lift stops between floors, so you always need to ascend or descend half a floor by the stairs to get to and from it.The breakfast offer did not include gluten-free bread, or dairy-free milk.

Clean and comfortable room, reasonable size for St Malo.. Restaurant looked nice but is closed on Mondays. Good location with an excellent bar next door but there was less noise than other places we've stayed in the town.

Little difficult to find the entrance because the restaurant was closed but soon sorted when I rang.

Location is great, room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable so all in all a good place. :)

However, the wifi is dodgy at best.Avoid if you have to work and need decent internet connection like me.
