Hôtel de La Croix de Malte

The proprietor was delightful and served up a delicious breakfast every morning.The location is right in the center of Cherbourg; can't complain about that at all.

City centre location, friendly owners, indoor parking for my motorcycle.

Very central hotel with free parking nearby, room small but clean, ideal spot for a one night stay, very friendly staff.

We didn't have breakfast - it's so easy to find somewhere for coffee and croissants locally! It's ideally situated between the ferry port and the train station, and it's so good to find somewhere as nice and friendly as the Hôtel de La Croix de Malte to find our "land legs" after the ferry from Dublin.

The location is perfect, very close to city center and all important touristic attractions. The lady working on the reception was the most friendly person I have ever met in a hotel.

The bed was extremely small and the mattress was so old that was almost in a complete U shape. I woke up with a lot of back pain. The water goes down the drain very slowly and accumulates, which forces you to turn off the tap several times during your shower.

Location was perfect for access to the city of Cherbourg and everything was in walking distance. Room was clean and as described when booking. Staff member that greeted us was lovely and welcoming and was able to speak to us in english due to us not knowing much french.

Central location, spotless rooms, friendly owners, excellent value for money. Exceptional value for money.

Excellent location in centre of town, yet quiet. Good facilities, nice room. Friendly staff. This is the third year I have stayed at la Croix de Malte, and recommend highly.

Location and garage parking for our motorcycles. Anne, our hostess, was especially kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely Anne was the perfect host nothing was too much trouble. Secure parking for motorcycles, good central location just off the main square,we would stay there again if we visit Cherbourg.

Such a lovely relaxed placed to stay. Nothing was too much trouble. A beautifully made bed every day and a fantastic shower. Fabulous location. Amazing value.

Kettle in room but no tea, coffee, cup etc. Especially as breakfast was not being served. Facilities in room ok but minimal.

The location (between the train station and the ferry terminal) was perfect. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again.

There was a kettle in our room, but no coffee/tea sachets - to be fair, we didn't ask for any or mention this to the hotel staff.

Room rather cramped. Very small shower & en-suite. Kettle supplied but no tea or coffee in room, and only one paper cup provided.

A warm welcome as always- I have stayed here before so know what to expect. The location in the centre of town is ideal and there is secure storage for a bicycle. Although central, the hotel is very quiet.
