- The staff gave us a bigger room, just because it was available. It had a special bedroom for children where our baby slept quietly. It was so cosy and comfortable. We will come back at every occasion.
- Friendly staff, good location to centre ville, harbour /restuarants etc. Modern shower. Breakfast was ok. Parking was public car park outside hotel ~free in the evenings .
- Everything . Very quaint French Hotel on the square up from the port . A very nice pub and across the road a sports bar if anyone was interested . lovely room and great value .v
Cons -
- The hotel, in an old classic building, was being renovated here and there. But it did not impact our stay, and was probably about to be finished.
- Hotel is scruffy and worn ,peeling paint. Bed linen was not ironed and towels looked grey.Room was not cleaned during our stay, and was very small. No coffee or water in room.
- Unable to fill the bath except by using the shower attachment. Plumbing noisy. Area is very central and so noisy outside, room needs window open for ventilation but too noisy to do this. Think we were unlucky as outside noise went on until 02.30-03.00, but the location makes this hotel very convenient for the town, parking etc.

Room clean and tidy, staff lovely.

We had one night in Cherbourg and this hotel was right in the heart of the town. It was small but very quiet and clean a
Good location. Historic building. Room adequate and happily on first floor. Breakfast could do better for e 9.5. We would have loved cleaning up the exterior of the building and making more of the wooden staircase serving all floors
Breakfast especially absence of. breakfast tea. But endemic in France.
The breakfast was sufficient, but choice was limited.
The room apart from the bed being clean and comfortable was dull and in need of upgrading with fresh and brighter colour scheme.
It was old building but very clean & comfortable. Good location Enjoy Ed my stay
Ugg - it was a miserable
filthy - strange stains on the bed. bedding smelled like wet dog
Breakfast good, location ideal for ferry and also meal out in evening.
The lady messaged us with the code to enter and left the room key in reception as we arrived earlier than planned!
The location and our room at the front meant that when the local nightclub closed at 5am the revellers spilled out right outside the hotel. The noise from cars and taxis plus drunken revellers kept us awake from 5am to 7am!
Location is goodThe continental breakfast is actually one of the better ones ive had (not a fan) but enjoyed it
Id say the hotel in general reflects the price really. Cant complain it was good for the money paid.
Excellent breakfast, excellent staff ....we returned as we enjoyed it so much last year. They had updated the facilities.
This was beyond the hotel Napoleon control... outside Noise as the hotel is located next to a restaurant and other cafes...
The hotel is great value, clean, roomy, and in a brilliant location. The couple who run it are accommodating, warm, and incredibly helpful. They allowed us to keep our (many) bags in their small reception area free of charge. They filled our flask with hot water and allowed us to wait in their breakfast area while we waited for a taxi. I definitely recommend ?
Mattress was OK
Dirty towel wrapped around toillett's outflow pipeNo/extremely slow Wi-Fi (signal good, transmission speed awful)
Great location but somewhat frugal and a little spartan. However my host was charming and the place was very clean and tidy. But you know, for the money...right in the centre of town, etc it was well worth it.
Room very small and very basically appointed. She could charge a little more and upgrade a bit and she would still do well.
Very cheap pay and display car park outsideVery good value for moneyLady who ran the hotel was friendly
Small room, exposed wires in wall. If you just want a room for the night (which is what we wanted) it is good and cheap. But if you want something more comfortable, this might not be the place for you.
Fantastic location, lovely Room, owners couldn't be nicer people, Breakfast was excellent would recommend to anyone although there was no lift but that is clearly stated on the hotel description I am disabled but can manage some stairs which I did quite easily at this hotel I give them 10 out of 10.
We liked everything about this hotel please try the bistro a few doors away it was excellent.
Easy walk to townPublic car parking at frontBathroom was clean and shower hot with decent pressureBed was comfortableSmall room, but adequate for our purpose of one night stop over before getting the ferry the next day.
The front desk is only manned for short hours each day, which we only discovered on arriving. As it was a Sunday the afternoon check-in was not available until 7-9pm. The hotel is not appropriate for those with mobility issues, it is an older building with no lift. This was not an issue for us
