Hôtel Les Quais

Staff were accommodating even with a late arrival. This is a very basic hotel but the location next to the train station is excellent if you want to leave your bags on the day of departure. Rooms are dated but its a 2 stat. And there is value for money

The hotel pipes are noisy so if someone showers in the not you will hear it. The desk closes at 10:30pm so be sure to call ahead of you will be late. They will accommodate you.

This was by far, the easiest of all the non reception hotels to gain entrance into. The code was sent in a timely fashion, and for once, the mechanism and system were simple, fast and WELL LIT!The bedroom was incredibly spacious, with large windows overlooking the street below. And although literally across the road from the main station, it was quiet, well lit and safe.Strong, hot, easy to operate shower and big, clean towels and spotlessly clean, warm, large double bed.Continental breakfast was fine. Owner/operator was very friendly and extremely helpful.

Perfect location for access to Cherbourg train station. Staff very pleasant. Decent breakfast available and reasonable price 9.50 euro.

Little difficult to get a taxi if required.

very central location, close to everything with food all around, staff was extremely friendly and helpful- breakfast was great value for money and the bed and room were very comfortable. definitely would recommend this hotel.

Reasonably priced. But old and worn out Hotel. Although clean.

Breakfast was very basic at a cost of €9.75. Not expensive. Stayed at front of hotel and got no sleep as on main road out of city.

It was the closest hotel to the train station. The cost of the hotel was similar to another hotel in Cherbourg but was not of the same calibre.

The bedding was not comfortable. The.pillows too soft. Dark and dingy hallways.

The owners and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They even spoke a little English. The hotel is opposite the train station.

I liked everything. The service was excellent, for example, we easily agreed on the delay of my train to the city, they helped me and greeted me warmly. The room was very large and beautiful, with a view from windows to a beautiful garden in the courtyard. The staff was very friendly and kind

Maybe I'd add Wi-Fi information to each room and put separate shower gel, liquid soap, and shampoo.

Good location, right next to the station. Staff friendly. Very cheap.

The room was cold. There was no towel in the bathroom. No instructions to help guests with any queries, such as internet, heating or towels! What is it about France, that they can't provide towels? or even bed linen sometimes? Medieval.

The hotel was very convenient for the railway station, and local buses also stopped nearby. The room was spacious, at the back of the building, and so was very quiet, looking onto rear gardens. Nice comfortable bed.

It was a little confusing at first working out how to get in after hours, but we soon sorted things out.

An affordable hotel near to Cherbourg train station, with a definite vintage air: it felt like a railway hotel from a mid-century period piece. Rooms clean albeit minimal - bed, small coffee table, chair, TV, no real wardrobe - shower with good water pressure. Windows not overlooked.

The hotel had many stairs and no lift, while a persistent odour of cigarette smoke permeated the halls and drifted up to the bedroom windows at night, either from other guests (we saw only one of those) or from the staff - we had them open, on account of visiting during a heatwave. (There's no A/C and no fan either, but that's expected.)

The room was spacious and comfortable, and had a good bathroom with shower. Breakfast was delicious and staff very pleasant and helpful.

Pavement laying outside made access difficult. Very scruffy outside and in the communal areas. Very little staff presence.

Quiet spot, good water pressure and temperature

Cigarette smoke every morning, bed bugs, woke up with a dozen bug bites, horrible beds, no a/c.

Spacious, bright and comfortable rooms. The staff is really friendly. The hotel is in a handy location to explore Cherbourg.

The hallways were a bit dated.
