Pros +
- Simpel basics cleanNear centreSafe place for bike
- Its location friendly staff and very clean
- I have arrived outside reception opening times but I was greeted in person. Smooth check-in. Small, cozy hotel, nice neighborhood, centrally located.
Cons -
- There was nothing not to like
- Quite noisy. Squeaky floorboards, thin walls. Stayed two nights, beds were remade however no new toiletries were added or tea & coffee. Building work being done in area so early start although not fault of hotel. Rubbish truck comes through extremely early i.e. between midnight and 2am!!!!
- The size of the room, but for what it was it held everything. I personally would have loved if the room had a kettle and two cups. However the owner filled up a flask we bought with hot water so we could make tea.

The breakfast was typical french buffet style with delicious homemade jams. The owner/ manager was very friendly, he would bring fresh orange juice and hot coffee, top up hot water and hot milk. Nothing was too much trouble for him. This place is perfect for showering after exploring the beaches of Royan and surrounding areas. The mattress was great as well.
