I can’t think of a thing

The location is great. Right next to the center where you can find the restaurants, bars, shops, etc…The staff is excellent, friendly and helpful.The room is pretty old furnished and the bed is not so comfortable but it was ok only for one night stay.

Convenient parking, secured overnight. Easy walk to town centre. Spacious, pleasant, classically-styled room.

Aircon/heating is rather noisy - the radiators installed in the rooms do not work or are disconnected.

Room was ok but was on the ground floor next to the road so a little noisy ar times .Parking was free af sister hotel across the road .

Very poor shower never got above Luke warm and after we complained it would appear that was the max available.

Beautiful hotel, tastefully and comfortably furnished. Warmly welcomed by owners with easy check in/out and free parking.Would highly recommend and such great value.

Good stopover location and the town of Niort was much livelier than expected. Tea at breakfast was served in a teapot!

No lift to second floor.

The hotel was a charming boutique hotel decorated with the utmost respect of the charm of the historical building. The managers made me feel included and welcomed the minute I was in my way to their hotel. Outstanding customer service. I had a long talk in the morning with Jean-Michel, and felt more like a valued individual than just a customer. Really impressed with the outside terrace and my breakfast time next to a gorgeous view.

The shower water was weak at night and not very warm

Central location. Elegant architecture and stylish decor in the main, common areas. Large bed.

Appalled that the toilet was basically in a cupboard at the end of the bed - with no extractor fan or ventilation. It could easily have been built in to the bathroom, so evidently not much budget has been allocated to the conversion of this particular room (one of the most expensive). Poor bathroom linens which were small and skimpy. The safe was unsecured - a thief could basically pick it up and walk away with it. Patchy wi-Fi. Breakfast expensive. Parking in the vicinity difficult. The garden ponds would benefit from the removal of dead leaves.

The couple running this hotel really care about the experience of their guests and are friendly and helpful. They accommodated my need for gluten free breakfast with care and consideration and the hotel itself is lovely, even better than the pictures on the website. They really pay attention to detail and it will make your stay very smooth in this surprisingly interesting city.

Excellent property. The staff could not have been more accommodating or friendly. Breakfast was amazing & could be eaten either inside the hotel or outside in the beautiful garden.We intend to return in the future.

It’s a very charming house with lovely character and very welcoming reception rooms. The stairs are gorgeous but a bit of a climb. The bedroom was very nice if a little dark. Breakfast was excellent- very freshly prepared and beautifully presented.

The bathroom was a little tight for space but well fitted out.

Check in was good and informative. Its not always easy to find an open restaurant on Mondays in France and the reception was very helpful. Room was comfortable but tea and coffee was very sparse and no milk.

Still don't understand the parking rules as the sign says "Private Parking" but it's on street parking and if you are caught before 7.00 pm or after 9.00 pm you get a ticket. Also the large sign for the hotel is sited around the corner and out of sight of the main road, so not the easiest place to find.

A beautiful building with a large comfortable bedroom and the hotel owner was charming and very helpful. We would be happy to stay there again.
