Sol Tropikal Durres

- stay itself was great - good food, clean rooms, beautiful pool and wonderful, relaxing private beach- location is outstanding and the parc is very lush and calming- all the staff looked well for the kids and it felt like staying at a safe place- one person at the reception who finally took action in a difficult situation

- Not providing early check-in as we had requested beforehand. No answer to request at all. After checking-in still waiting for 5 very long hours to enter the room. No hurry at all. Having to ask and ask again and no reporting duty to client.- very tiring discussions about how many kids we booked at the reception after being told for 5 hours room would be ready "very soon".- no interest of manager to turn up. Poor excuses: manager in a meeting, not in the house at all, not able to make calls etc.

The resort was in a beautiful area, almost like a little park, with the landscape well maintained, and the hotel in a pavilionar arrangement. The pool and the private beach were clean and provided with umbrellas and chairs. Every night it was something to entertain the guests. Overall the place deserved the thumb up.

Small things like the bussines either the beach towels. You have to bring them to the reception by 7:00pm, however, you could not have clean ones until 10:00am next day.

The staff at this hotel is absolutely exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and attentive service. The location is stunning, with beautifully appointed rooms and pristine pools that invite relaxation. Having private beach access was the cherry on top of our stay, allowing us to unwind in paradise. We had an unforgettable time once again—everything was perfect! The top-tier staff truly made our experience special, and we left feeling rejuvenated. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of life back in the USA.

We were seeking an experience that transcended the local vibe and embraced a vibrant multicultural atmosphere. With Albania opening its doors to a diverse array of nationalities, we realized that the crowd consisted mostly of local residents, and sadly, their lack of warmth was quite evident. We envisioned something more inclusive, where kindness and curiosity flourished among people from all walks of life.

We checked into the hotel and, right from the start, the manager on duty was rude and disrespectful. His attitude and energy were unacceptable, and it was so bad that we immediately checked out of the hotel. This type of behavior is unacceptable for someone in a customer-facing role, and he should not be in that position.

Wet clean, well kept and beautiful resort just south of Durres. It’s in a quiet area away from the touristy areas. The private beach is clean and not crowded. It’s a short 10 minute walk to the Durres beaches area and a 15 minute drive to the port area bridge pier. The food is excellent, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the pools are kept spotless.

The buffet restaurant runs out of clean dishes and coffee cups frequently.

The service was not good, there was no hairdryer in the room, no toothbrushes and toothpaste, the TV did not work, when we contacted the reception they told us to come and get the hairdryers and toothbrushes and toothpaste at the reception, because we have no one on duty, we paid 400 euros for two nights and we are not satisfied at all, this is not good

Beautiful grounds. The staff was very friendly. Great value and really nice place to stay The breakfast included is a good value. I liked it a lot and recommend it for Durres. Seems to be the best place to stay there

The air conditioner didn't work very well in my room. There are a lot of mosquitoes at the outdoor restaurants at night. Maybe have some citronella candles to make them go away

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff were incredibly welcoming and professional, always ready to help with a smile. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail and the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast offered a great variety and was freshly prepared. Overall, it was a great value for money, and I would happily stay here again. Highly recommended for leisure travellers!

I like the quietness of the area. We went out of season so everything was quiet. Our room was in the next block facing the pool, it was lovely. The bed was spacious and so comfortable. I like how the bed was facing the large sliding doors so you would watch the view while in bed.

Food. Not much food choice and expensive buffet. Not much choice outsidr either. Taxis are expensive.

Close to the beach, pool was very good for my 3 year old. Breakfast had a good selection.

Steps into the pool was very slippy and toilets beside the pool could do With getting cleaning more often in the day.

Wouldn`t stay there anymore

When I arrived at the resort, I thought to myself that it actually had a pretty nice atmosphere. At check-in, without a prior reservation, only the junior suite was available. Since it was definitely too expensive for me, I decided to book through Booking.com. After completing the booking, the staff informed me that no room was available anymore... After about half an hour, a room became available, and we were able to check in a few hours later. When we tried to enter our room, the key card didn't work, so I had to go back to the reception. They were quite unfriendly and insisted the card was working. I asked the staff member to come and see the situation for herself, but she didn’t. After asking twice, she finally gave me two new key cards, which worked. When we requested to have our suitcase brought to our room, we were simply told, "We don't offer that service." At the entrance of the complex, there was a very unpleasant rotten fish smell... The restaurants in the complex are okay, but the service is very poor, and sometimes there’s a lack of friendliness.

This is the second time we visit Sol Tropikal and we love to see that there are positive changes. The area around the resort is so clean and we love the quietness that it offers. The rooms are fresh and clean; the staff is very friendly and tries to help u out. I would definitely come again and suggest it to my friends and family. I want to specify that the food was amazing, loved every dish that we tried. The fish that we had was fresh and tasty every time.

It was one of the most beautiful resort i’ve ever been. Staff was amazing very smiley , a quiet place with a wonderful view.

Amazing hotel in DURRES!!

We booked transport,but unfortunately nobody came to pick up us from airport.Booking shows included city tax,but reception staff when we done check out charged us 40 euros again for city tax!!!
