Hôtel des quatre saisons

It was luxurious. The whole property was beautifully furnished and immaculate. Although it was frosty during our stay in March we had control over the heating in our apartment.

The drawer units in our room need replacing as they do not open. They look really nice but the runners don’t work. The lighting in the shower room is inadequate. The down-lights over the mirror do not work but nobody came to fix them. The wi-fi didn’t connect on our laptop but did work a bit on mobile phones. (They had a roaming service.) The breakfast room was beautiful but a restricted choice.

Excellent location. Clean and comfortable with excellent staff

A small traditional hotel located just across the road from one of the historic gates to the old town. A slightly dated but comfortable and clean room with a small kitchenette and a fridge. Fairly secure parking for my bicycle at the rear of the property (but not under cover).

Beautifully decorated downstairs, fantastic location. Easy to find and very helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious.

The drain in our bathroom smelled really bad, but we only stayed for one night and we were in a budget room, so it didn’t really affect our stay that much.

Great location right next to the medieval city.

Rooms looked nicer in the pictures as in reality looked a bit tired.

It had a very comfortable bed. It was spotlessly clean. It had a very useful kitchenette which was ideal for our needs

Nothing really

Building and location right outside the walls of the medieval city. Reception was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is being refurbished and the public areas look fabulous. Breakfast was very good especially the croissants.

Everything was good. Rooms clean and beds excellent. The room decor is a little tired but understand they are in the process of refurbing the hotel. It will probably be too expensive for me next time!

A small but very nice property in excellent condition with a great location right in front of the entrance to the walled old town with lots of shops and restaurants. The staff was warm and welcoming as well as helpful with all our requests. Breakfast was very good. The room was a pleasant surprise - very large bedroom, plus a sitting room as well as a very good bathroom. The room also had an exterior door going out to a very pleasant terrace with table and chairs in a small, shaded garden. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was large and comfortable.

It was hot when we were there, (and yes, we are Americans) so we wish the room had air conditioning. The hotel does not have a parking facility, so we had to find parking on the street.

Breakfast was fine.

Room did not have some of the things listed such as hairdryer. Also, room was not cleaned on a daily basis. I had to ask to have it cleaned the day before I left.

Location was great. The breakfast was very good. The young man on duty, Antoine was very pleasant and helpful. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

The wifi was very poor. Very difficult to connect and then it continually kept loosing the signal.

Fabian, the man on reception, was really nice and helpful. The little kitchen was good. Great location. Our room was very clean with crisp white sheets on comfortable beds.

I stayed at the hotel with my disabled mother and had asked for a ground floor room and twin beds. I confirmed these requirements several days before. Two hours before we got to Guerande, I received a welcome e-mail that told me that our room on the ground floor was ready for us. However, when we arrived we had been put on the first floor with a double bed. Fabian kindly gave us twin beds, but was unable to give us a ground floor room. The staircase consists of three spiral areas which were very difficult for my mother.

Great location close to the medieval town entrance. Nice view from room to the fortress wall.

The floor was all broken up. They should probably fix it before renting it to people for a hefty fee.

Great position just outside the walls of the medieval city, and opposite one of the gates. Fridge and kettle provided.

No shelves in the bathroom for toilet bags, although there was a bookcase just outside the door.

Very good breakfast, location and staff.

Restaurant wasn't open for an evening meal.
