Best Western Hotel de la Cite and Spa

Relatively new hotel so everything was clean and bright. Staff very helpful. Easy walk to the old walled city. Bed was comfortable and shower was good.It’s located close to a primary school and a few businesses. Very quiet area.We didn’t have breakfast.Parking was easy as was check out.

Air con didn’t appear to be working. Paper cups for hot drinks.

Excellent breakfast, nice staff, clean room.

Predictable. Comfortable. Very clean. Room ready for us and our dog.

Soulless. Staff not always positive (for example: « no dogs in the dining room » could be replaced by « yes we will assist you to have breakfast on the terrace ». When asking for a taxi we were given a number which belonged to a person who wasn’t available. He was working in another part of France that day!

The room is clean and quiet.

Localisation not so great

Large family room and my son enjoyed using the swimming pool.

No bar, or rather beer was available but no wine and the service terminated at 9.30pm. A good 15 min walk from the centre of Guérande, which we didn’t particularly mind. Room had disabled bathroom facilities which meant the room & bathroom were very spacious but the bathroom flooded after a shower due to no separate shower cubicle. We had to put towels on the floor which were just left there when the room was cleaned (although separate new towels were left in addition)

Great location, a 10 minute walk from city walls and old town. Clean and spacious room. Restaurant Les Terrasses next door offers good food/drinks at reasonable prices.

I couldn’t get A/C to work, so spent an uncomfortably hot night. Only paper cups available in room for tea/coffee. Breakfast was a bit steep at €16+.

Sauna doesn't include in a price. That was a present for my parents and two sisters who live in France now. I paid for a room with everything included. I thought only breakfast should be paid, and I paid for this too, but I sauna and a swimming pool are usually included. I haven't noticed the information about separate payments until the moment I booked a room and my parents called at the hotel. The present was destroyed. Unfortunately, I chose a non-refundable option. That will be a lesson for me for a next time.

Hairdrier is not easy to use . Have to press it with the whole hand.The jacuzzi and hammam are not free to use for the client of the hotels. No bathrobes.

Spacious room and large comfortable bed. Bath and shower. Easy parking if you don’t want to drive into town. Only 10/15 minutes walk to the old town. Good breakfast buffet with fresh oranges to squeeze and good selection of cheese etc.

This type of hotel is always a bit soulless but comfortable and convenient!

Bed was super comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was varied and delicious. Spa was lovely and just for us!

Lovely area and so nice to be able to sit outside and have breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Temperatures were high while we were there and it would have been nice if the room had a fridge.

Room Key that didn’t work and told I must have put it in my phone!!!! NO OF COURSE NOT!!!!Car parks (2 of them!) BOTH closed as works would be happening the next day. Not useful to me with heavy luggage!!!Very sad approach to the hotel; tiny grubby sign saying ‘Best Western’ but NO sign show ‘Acceuil’ so unwelcoming!!! Breakfast very sad; scrambled eggs like tough rubber! Shameful at the price!!!

This was a typical Best Western hotel. The bathroom was very dark and had a black basin and dark grey walls and floor, which was a little strange. The shower could not be put at a convenient level as it kept sliding down, which was very annoying. The breakfast was very good and with plenty of selection of food. It was an easy walk into the walled city Guerande, with plenty of restaurants to choose from.

The bathroom facilities could have been better, as described above.
