- The staff were very helpful and kind and the hotel is close to the town centre so its a good location next to lots of shops adn facilities.
Cons -
- The restaurant was actually closed!!, even though 2 days prior I had emailed requesting to reserve a table for 2 for dinner, which was confirmed by return email. The reception staff were very apologetic on hearing this & arranged for a meal to be brought in for us, which they served in the breakfast room. They dealt with the situation quickly & efficiently but I still don't know why my table reservation was accepted & confirmed in the first place, as it was obvious the restaurant was all closed up, for the time of the year presumably.
- Dinner was not good, got the feeling it was a microwave mealAnd the location was on a dual carriageway opposite a block of flats
- We upgraded our room but it was still very small, right next to a busy road so it was difficult to sleep but when the window is closed you do not hear much but then it is a bit stuffy, The toilet is tiny, you cannot sit comfortably on the loo (!!). There was no lift so one has to climb three flights of stairs. The worst thing was the bed, it was so hard we couldnt sleep, that is the one thing a hotel must get right.

5 minutes walk to the town center.Large and confortable bedroom Welcoming employees
A kettle would have been appreciated in the bedroom.Otherwise it was perfect.
We upgraded to a prestige double room for a small amount extra and we we're not disappointed, Rm 112 was large, had a comfy sofa bed to watch the large tv (when it was tipping down). Needed another pillow, not a problem, the cleaning lady rushed off to get one and gave us more water bottles, coffee and sugar, without asking.Location is perfect for this beautiful medieval town. Hotel is just off a roundabout but the double glazing was excellent.Parking is tight but we had a large car and managed, even a huge SUV got in!!.
Location very good for town. Staff helpful. Room fairly clean. Underground parking. Breakfast good.
Superior Room smaller than expected and would not use the sofa bed, it looked old and gruby. A/C useless, had to open windows for ventilation. Our room overlooked the main road, it was very noisy even at night. Opt for a room at rear of hotel. Car parki g very, very tight.
Good was nice
Had no parking for us we had to park 10 minutes away in the universityOdd location on corner of flyover
Clean & tidy hotel Buffet breakfast included Ideal for city break & site seeing this lovely area , interesting port & views.
Car parking was limited space ( secure underground on site ) must be pre booked . €15 per night We were not aware of this , We parked in local secure underground city parking €22 per 24 hours ( very small parking bays & tight entrance if you have a larger car !
Clean and bright
Room very crowded with single and double beds. Difficult to move around
Central, helpful staff
Very hot week and air conditioning not working
The room size is fair, very clean. 4 minute walk from the city centre. The staff is very kind and helpful.
Lovely clean hotel and good proximity for the town. Reception staff very helpful. Liked the fact the wc was separate from the bathroom though rooms very small and they weren’t particularly cheap!
Room very small, air conditioning not working properly. No tea/coffee making facilities though we saw replacement sachets on the cleaners’ trolley! Not sure we would’ve parked had we not paid for the parking at the hotel!!
Location and friendly staff
Sliding door on toilet kept coming off the rail. The air conditioning was very poor/weak
Good spaces, decent breakfast, good location
The air conditioning was not working and we weren’t informed before or at the time of booking and it had been out of order for 2 weeks. We had specifically booked a hotel for air conditioning
Secure underground parking (for a fee). A modern hotel with air conditioned rooms, which was welcome as the outside temperature hit 30. Not far to walk to the old town.
Location, with parking, was excellent.
Room was very small and unfortunately the air conditioning was broken on a night when the temperature was very high
The hotel is just a short walk to the city center which was great!
The air conditioning didn’t work, and the room faced a noisy street. Check-out took 15 minutes just to pay the city tax, which could’ve been done at check-in.
Location good. Unfortunately the air-conditioning was out of order and temperature was over 30 degrees. The hotel was aware they had a problem but never advised us.
Not advised that about the air-conditioning problem.
Great location and fab staff
Room very small and so hot
Well placed to walk to the town centre, good breakfast, friendly staff, secure parking.
No significant dislike, some small bits of maintenance could be improved.
