Best Western Auray Hotel du Loch

Late night check in and early depature but they did a nice job arranging for our late arrival

large & free (uncovered) parking, nice & welcoming staff, large and properly heated room, overall we were very happy and would definitely choose this hotel again

Nice breakfast. Pleasant woodland surroundings.

Small room inconveniently laid out. Asked for extra toilet tissue and was told if I wanted another roll, I had to allow the maid to clean the room. Terribly humiliating.

Nice hotel a bit of a walk from town.lovely big car park and very good breakfast included.Lovely sauna and jacuzzi free to use.

Such a lovely tranquil setting with ample parking and great views from rooms and restaurant. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was bigger than we expected and very clean. We definitely recommend the breakfast which had so many delicious options. There is also a spa and sauna available to use. We didn’t want to leave, it was so relaxing. A trip to Carnac beach is a must!

We liked everything!

The evening meal and breakfast were good and you have the feeling that you are eating within the woods that surround the restaurant.

The decor, especially the carpets, are somewhat tired and could be updated.

10 minute walk into Auray - not a problem on a dry day. In the rain, there is plenty of parking close to the town centre.

Room was quite small and very dark as the windows were small and it was easy to walk into the tv which was positioned at the end of the bed with not much walk space. Had to keep asking for milk .

This is a pleasant hotel on the outskirts of Auray set in pretty grounds with ample free parking. It is possible to walk into town within 10 to 15 minutes. The staff were welcoming and very friendly/helpful. The room was small but comfortable with a courtesy tray (no English tea or milk though) and a brightly lit bathroom with a good shower. There is also a lift and a small bar and an outside seating area. A sauna can be booked but we did not use it. The restaurant is open each night and the food was excellent. Breakfast is also served in the restaurant where there is ample choice of breads, pastries, cheeses, cold meats etc and a hot dish of eggs/bacon/sausage.

We were personally disappointed at the location of the hotel as it was remote from the town and situated in a residential area. Although the room was comfortable, it was decorated in dark browns which made it feel very gloomy and depressing, particularly as the room we were assigned did not catch the sunshine. The hotel bar is cosy but lacked atmosphere as, sadly, we were the only two who used it for pre-dinner drinks. Also, although the restaurant food could not be faulted, neither the daily menu nor the a la carte menu changed for the four days we were there. The morning staff were slow to replenish breakfast dishes and, for some reason, the "hot" dish for the eggs and bacon was never plugged in so the food was always cold or tepid.
