The food was exceptional and the service excellent from start to finish. The spa was lovely but we were out of season so it was very quiet

The room was a bit small, but excellent for the price as the main reason to stay was the restaurant.

Very disappointed that the restaurant was fully booked so we were unable to dine at the property. I was not anticipating that it would be fully booked on a Tuesday evening.

Poor reception, stains on carpet in lounge area. Pretentious downstairs decor to reflect quality restaurant which appears to be the only focus of the hotel! On booking we were not invited to reserve the restaurant, the main objective of our stay. On arrival we’re told it was fully booked! They did arrange a lovely alternative but not what was aspired to!

Exceptional restaurant with wonderful star quality food and service.Breakfast was similarly wonderful.We requested a room upgrade when we arrived and were quickly and efficiently dealt with & moved from the small budget room to a very nice cottage style bedroom in the grounds

The budget rooms are very small, on the street side and noisy : I don't think it had an AC which meant one would have to sleep with the window open which is why to be moved.

- nice hotel staff- good setup, particularly with the pool and garden- accommodating as they fitted us into the restaurant having not booked

- restaurant wasn’t for me. We asked for some plain food with simple clear instructions confirmed, and then what was served had dressings, garlic etc all over it- the restaurant food for us was over-complicated, lacked basic seasoning and the dishes weren’t as tasty as what the classics would have been. Other diners seemed to be impressed; we found it over- engineered and not that tasty- I appreciate it’s a gastronomic restaurant but 2.5 hours when we just wanted 1-2 courses and to feed kids was too long to wait

The room, described as a suite, was small and lacked basic facilities such as a minibar/fridge which it was supposed to have. Could have done with a safe too

wonderful experience staying here, such friendly and attentive staff, delicious food and such a clean hotel with spacious rooms, location was superb

The bed is comfortable. In side, the room was nice and clean, but I don't like the location of the room. It looked like used to be storage room before. Around the pool, didn't have much impressive.

Breakfast was not many choices. The egg boiler didn't work well. The table was very small, cannot put anything, but staff was helpful.

Perhaps a bit expensive for the facilities offered, though to be fair, it appears to have a great sauna jacuzzi and pool which we were unable to use and would no doubt help to justify this.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and the bathroom excellent.

The breakfast was very average and disappointing given that the chef of the establishment has a Michelin star. Coffee and bread ordinary, cake inedible, orange juice tasted vaguely of grapefruit and was sour. The room was very cold (turned thermostat up to 30C but made no difference) but the bathroom was very warm and the towel rail so boiling hot that we left the door open to let it warm up the bedroom. No ventilation in either room, so when we used the shower the whole place became steamed up.
