Sure Hotel by Best Western Argentan

Location and had parking. clean and convenient for a stopover.

No evening food available even though it was a Saturday evening. You need to be aware that the shower room is part of the room only the toilet is behind a door. No air conditioning.

We stayed unexpectedly having had a car crash and taken to hospital in the town. The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful or empathetic. Thank you.Breakfast was good and good value. The adjacent pizzeria - part of the company - sells excellent gallettes. There were some low level maintenance issues around the place; loose sockets so all the ones in our (cheap) room didn't work, that kind of thing

Breakfast was very good plenty of options, well set out

Friendly staff.

A bit tricky to find. A general comment about Best Western communications. They send out a lot of unnecessary duplication of e-mails, confirming the booking. Also they use an affectation in the printing of the letters C and A, which is just irritating.

Location was good and bed was comfortable.

Looked shabby. Service was poor.

very much a business persons place to stay, would only use as a stop overreception closed at 19.30, so bar and restaurant not openalso no staff on premises after reception closed

Staff were very friendly and we got free upgrade of room

parking area could be improved and corridors could have automatic lighting

Really friendly staff, great location, a bar that was open.

Facilities were fine for overnight stop

Bit difficult to access hotel, not much signage for parking.

Location (easy to find), helpful staff, comfortable room.

The hotel is easy to find close to the railway station. There is some free parking available to the side of the hotel. The hosts are very friendly and speak good English. The rooms are comfortable, quiet, spacious and well appointed. The hotel does not have a restaurant but does offer “potted” meals. We chose to have a short wander around the town and then ate at the restaurant next door.

Avoid like le plague!

Poor hotel, awful location right on a roundabout in what seemed a rough area of Argentan. Did not stay the night it was that bad.

Breakfast very goodRoom clean

Shower needs bathmat for older peopleRestaurant option for evening meal was very poorAccess to parking was awkward

Breakfast was adequate, no hot food, but good selection. Friendly and helpful staff, especially when we complained about the room not being as advertised by Booking.com.

The booking we made with 'Booking.com' was inaccurate. The booking clearly described the 'standard room' as having a private bathroom, this is incorrect. The standard room has a wash basin and shower exposed in the bedroom. We would not have booked this room had we known. However, the manager of the hotel was very understanding and upgraded us and our friends room to 'Superior Rooms' that had a private bathroom. I have to congratulate the hotel manager in his dealing with our complaint. He explained that their own advertisements/booking details hi-lighted the shower etc being exposed in the Standard Room (There was also no wardrobe and a smaller bed in the standard room) . I would strongly suggest Booking.com review and change their description to save other customers not getting the facilities advertised.

Easy location to find, parking for motorcycles. Good reception from the lady and young man who allowed us to book in early after a long bike ride. They couldn’t be more helpful.

Change of staff meant change of attitude. The gentleman who was on duty in the afternoon was more interested in chatting to ladies at the bar. The restaurant was closed.

Bedroom/bathroom good. Restaurant /evening meals — non - existent - offered only food out of a jar. We thought it was some kind of a joke . We were expected to sit outside on sand in deck chairs - never experienced anything like it . Very disappointing after a long journey ,

Everything concerning the evening food scenario. Very poor indeed

Friendly welcome on reception, lovely bar area. Great room with balcony. Convenient room.

Breakfast very limited. Croissants were stale. Also charged €15 for my 5kg small dog, this was NOT mentioned until checkout. Very dissatisfied.

Quite 'basic' with no evening meal facilities. The welcome was warm and the room was adequate. Parking was good

Bathroom blinds were 'tired' and showing signs of wear

The staff

Broken loo seat poor parking no privacy in the bedroom can’t plug in the kettle and locked up at 16:00

Location, people, breakfast

It was okay but needed a face cloth.
