Hotel Kodra

Lovely satff, facilities and amazing location. Very clean and beautiful inside. Restaurant food was also very good and authentic to the region.

Just a bit of noise in the hall late at night, but only slightly and it stopped soon after.

There was no hot water in the rooms and the air conditioner turned off after we removed the card and the room was cold, the wifi didn't work well.

The location is ideal, situated right next to the Gjirokastër market, making it extremely convenient. The room itself is spacious and features beautiful woodwork and a charming old-world ambiance.

There’s not much to dislike, except that we got a bit lost navigating the cobbled steeply inclined streets while looking for the hotel — though that was on me, as I missed the detailed directions provided in the welcome message

The hotel was very special, from the windows of the room you can see the whole city, the room was very clean, the sheets, towels, facilities, details, I also really liked the restaurant part, where the food was very tasty especially in the morning with that wonderful view. The girls at the reception were very kind and polite, they helped us upon arrival at the hotel and for any question and help they did not hesitate to be present, they made us feel like we were at home and not like strangers, this is something to be appreciated by the warm hospitality. I will definitely recommend this hotel & restaurant to my friends!!! Thank you Kela & Eneida

The girl at the reception on the first day of our arrival was extremely kind and supportive, gave us instructions and guided us up there by car.

Well, on the next day, everything was bizarre.When arriving at breakfast, the other girl “working there”, was extremely bored, without bothering noticicing that tables were not prepared, cups were no where. plates were missing. We asked politely and needed to remind her several times if we could get something.The bread was old like from 2 days, same for the rest of some stuff (cakes), the choice was limited. This came to us as a big surprise causw so far service in Albania was always 10/10.

A wonderful hotel with impressive architecture, located 5 minutes from the castle and one minute from the bazaar. The rooms are the old style, with wood framed windows which let all the cold air from outside into the room. Although we had air conditioning that we could turn on warm, it couldn't cope. I can only say that it is a wonderful accommodation that I highly recommend!!!

The location is perfect just beginning of the old town and Bazaar so you are in the very center. Rooms are super clean with amazing view to the old town. Beds are great! Waking up with sounds of the birds and the outside view of the Castle.

There is so much noise as the reception is through restaurant and every time the door to rooms opens and closes the restaurant music and noise is heard in the rooms. Fine for 1-2 night stay but keep this in mind.

The hotel offers a comfortable stay with clean rooms, friendly staff, and excellent amenities. The location is convenient, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. Overall, a great value for money.

Breakfast was not good. Very old equipment - dust and dirt everywhere. I was most expensive hotel in our vacation and it was not worth it.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. On one hand, the road leading to the hotel was not clearly marked and in poor condition, making the arrival less pleasant. Fortunately, the room itself was clean and adequately furnished, which was a relief.However, the placement of our room next to the restaurant and opposite the kitchen significantly impacted our experience. The hotel organized a loud party that lasted until 1:30 am right next to our room. This situation led to a sleepless night for us, which was not only uncomfortable but also unacceptable considering that we had paid for a place to rest.It is imperative that the hotel considers the comfort and rest of all its guests, especially when organizing noisy events. Renting a room next to a party venue without prior warning to the guests is a lack of consideration. This experience left us exhausted and disappointed, and I hope the hotel will take steps to prevent such situations in the future.

We have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and we have always had a tremendous stay.

Now the centre has been made traffic free the access to the hotel by car is a little tricky.

The location was fantastic. The staff were superb. We booked the suite which was great value for money and a lovely breakfast. Made to feel very welcome

It stated in the description that there was an ATM on site (we needed to draw out cash in Albania) but this was not the case. Not sure if this was a mistake in the online description. Otherwise everything superb

Beautiful view from the hotel with a comfortable and quiet room. I loved the hard wood furniture and decor and the overall warm and unique ambiance that captured the vibe of Gjirokaster as a whole. Perfect location right by the Bazaar

Only issue is the parking lot and the entrance. It was quite difficult to figure out. Challenging to drive the car up the main hill, then a very strange walk around the building, up some back stairs, then in through a back door. I had to ask for help!

Staff was very friendly and helpful, and our rooms were very spacious (in particular the Superior Suite), with a wonderful view on the old town. The hotel is located on top of the hill and very close to the Bazar area with its many bars and restaurants.
