    Pros +

    • We had the superior suite - it was amazing!Christina at the front desk and actually all of the staff were incredibly helpful.
    • The patio for breakfast was lovely. The rooms maintained a traditional decor. We especially loved the views from the balcony
    • The suite was gorgeous and huge. It had 2 air conditioners which was helpful in cooling it off. The staff was great. They offered room service as well as breakfast.

    Cons -

    • Loud music from some adjacent bars went on until midnight. Especially evident in superior suite ( the most expensive room in the hotel)
    • How to get there as the GPS takes you to blocked road and streets are verry narrow. the Staff was super nice and came to where we were stuck and guided us to the hotel parking.
    • Very noisy , on a street with loud music until late. Parking impossible to find.

    The building and the staff

The restaurant next door had a party and loud music didn't allow us to sleep until midnight

Tasty traditional breakfast. The rooms were cold in february but after one hour the AC did its job.Clean, comfortable and quiet. Traditional atmosphere. The receptionist was very nice, helpful and spoke good English. We didn't find the free parking (the GPS didn't manage to take us in front of the hotel, but we left the car nearby and went on by foot. No discomfort)

This hotel is a beautifully restored old Ottoman house. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Have been before and will return in the summer.

We were given a room upgrade that made us feel like we were staying in a Pashas Palace. Gorgeous room with castle view. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Private parking on site right at the Old Town.

The hotel was hard for us to find. We got lost, but they worked to get us to the right place after I called, so it was really ok.

Lovely stay, decorated nicely in the old traditional style, located in the heart of the old town, minutes to everything. Very kind and helpful staff. Highly recommended!

Very nice hotel in a beautiful location. Stuff was very helpful and made everything possible in order to have a nice stay! Strongly recommend if you visit the city Bonus: Excellent breakfast!

    10ConstancePosted on: 1-1-2025

Lovely room and gorgeous view of the castle, right near the heart of the bazaar/old town. This also meant some late night bar music (until 11:15) but we didn’t mind. The generous breakfast, comfortable bed, and friendly staff were all positives!

Not a negative- just a beware- definitely follow the landmarks shared by hotel staff for accessing the hotel. Otherwise you could end up streets impossible to navigate. Trust me ?

The hotel was in the Gjirokastra Bazaar, very convenient location to walk around the Bazaar and its bars and restaurants. Very clean room, very helpful customer service. For the parking consider in the city parking underground as its only 3 mins on foot.

A true boutique hotel. Atmospheric with traditional features but modern bathrooms so a great combination. We met Dragon the owner who was charming, helpful and so enthusiastic.

Nothing but a warning to drivers to be prepared for a steep cobbled narrow street to drive up. Worth it though!

Location Location Location - stunning views of Gjirokaster Castle from the room. Mountain views from outdoor breakfast seating. Super convient to wander around town, tricky to access hotel if you're driving but the parking is rather convenient.

The first night music from one of the local pubs was really loud and the kids had a hard time falling asleep, this went on till midnight. The second night was a lot better. Staff was rude when we reported the issue, we asked for a fan to generate white noise, they cut off my husband and hung up abruptly. This is a slighly older property, could do with some sprucing up.

    9HarryPosted on: 10-13-2024

Very traditional stone building with updated and modern rooms that were clean. Great outdoor terrace with great views of city and valley. Great breakfasts and dinners with fresh healthy ingredients. Staff was friendly, helpful, and always good to deal with.

Every afternoon the loud music at nearby bars and restaurants starts and continues until all hours.
