Pros +
- Close to railway station and older buildings. Service from was excellent.
- Beautiful hotel, our suite was exquisite, high stone ceiling with a terrace. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, cold meat, cheese, sweets and breads. The hotel is also a short walk from the train station and bus depot.
- We were really happy. We have met two staff and both very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect.
Cons -
- Nothing with the hotel, the old city of Taranto is pretty gritty but it is safe and has alot of history, the new city is just a short walk across the bridge.
- The only thing I noticed was a slight musty smell but after opening the windows it was fine. I heard this is common in hotels in Italy.
- In room 312 (?) the water pressure was very weak, was almost impossible to take a good shower at the end of the day. There was only dropping ward water, needed to collect the drops in the palm to wars at least the face.

The location is excellent. Close enough to walk from and to the train station. We also enjoyed exploring old and new Taranto day and night. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful.
I loved the location of this hotel as it was convenient arriving from the train station (very walkable). The views from the room were amazing! The staff were all so helpful.

The hotel was in a great location and parking was easy,. Our room was beautiful and the staff were very helpful
Friendly staff, close to railroad station and sites. Comfortable bed, good breakfast.
All good
the hotel is quite lovely. our room was spacious and the bathroom was fine (the water pressure was terrible tho). there were charging ports near the beds. our room looked right out to the fountain/port. great for sunset and sunrise. the location is in old town so very much in the thick of the historical centre (lots of work being done but also there’s a certain charm about seeing street art amongst the abandoned buildings). breakfast was lovely. we took the 3 bus from the bus depot to get here. but otherwise for those coming from the train station, it’s an easy hop across the bridge to the hotel. lots of restaurants and cafes nearby to enjoy.
the water pressure from the shower head was very weak. warm water
Fabio in the front desk was amazing!!! He told us everything about the city and offered us a welcome drink! that made a difference!
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff .
Breakfast wasn’t up to standard Builders woke us every morning
Everything was perfect for my one night stay in Taranto. Location is a 10 minute walk from the train station. The historic center is small so you can easily walk anywhere. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. And the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was simple but very good.
No complaints.
The room was beautiful. Everything was clean and new. Close to wonderful restaurants. The staff were exceptional.
The true highlight of my stay at L'Arcangelo was the staff. Federica was so warm and welcoming, she gave me an excellent itinerary for a walking tour of Taranto and gave me a perfect recommendation for dinner--she really made my stay a delight. There was also a lovely tea service at check in. The location is an easy 10 min walk to Taranto Centrale bus/train station and about 10 or 15 mins walk to the new town section if the old town shops and restaurants are not sufficient. I loved the view from the balcony over the old buildings while enjoying the comfort of the renovated room. What a perfect little stay!
The room we stayed in on the second floor had two balconies, each with an excellent view, especially of the clock tower. The hotel is very well managed and maintained. A staff person is on hand 24 hours. That is rare, and well-appreciated. The location is on the edge of the historic town, minutes away from what is the most authentic city in Puglia. It was especially nice to wake up and have a full breakfast, with eggs, sausage, ham, cheese, yogurt, cereals, pastries and delicious coffee and juice. We're happy we stayed at this classy hotel. Thank you.
Great location, wonderful staff and super easy to walk around the historic district. It's a 10 min walk to the train station. The breakfast choices were perfect for me. A Bar is down stairs and a pizza place across the street. Thesoundprooff windows really worked well. I would certainly stay there again.
It is close the train and bus station.
The bathroom was not properly cleaned. I found some hair there and the toilet paper roll was not even new or full.
Beautiful little hotel reasonably close to the station yet on the Taranto island. We had a terrace room, light, spacious, and elegant. Staff helpful and friendly.
The location of the hotel is great, very good to explore by foot the cozy city of Taranto. The staff is very friendly and has great recommendations and ideas of what to see and where to eat. And the hotel is very clean, what is so important.
This is a delightful hotel in a fabulous location in the old part of Taranto. The building has been beautifully renovated and each room is unique & spacious. Our arrival was very welcoming. Breakfast was good value for money too. Highly recommend this hotel.
There was some noise in the street very early in the morning below our window.
