    • The room I stayed in was spacious and incredibly comfortable, offering excellent value for money. The breakfast provided was decent, providing a good start to the day.A special mention goes to the gentleman at the reception, who was exceptionally polite and helpful. Despite booking the room at the last minute, he graciously offered us an upgrade, which was a delightful surprise.Overall, this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Taranto.
    • Close to the train station and lovely hotel with character. Breakfast was good.
    • Very characterful hotel in a very run down but interesting area. Very attractive public areas and rooms and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable and clean.

    Cons -

    • Na
    • The wi-fi is not fit for purpose. We couldn't connect in our room at all and when I asked I was told to connect to the next door room's wi-fi. It was then so slow it was unusable. Very disappointing breakfast - prepackaged cakes and biscuits. No oats or eggs and really poor, cheap bread. On returning from breakfast we found a load of ants in our bed. They were on the floor too.
    • It’s an old building in the historical center. Nothing happened to me, but the narrow old streets don’t give good sensation in the night, don’t feel good walking there.

Comfortable room with good bed, a sofà and coffee machine. Pretty good staff. Good ordinary breakfast.

    * Walking distance from the train station.

    * I think the receptionist in the evening was sick? He didn't seem to be ok.* The area is shady. The whole city is shady.

    Great location and great breakfast.

Too expensive compared to what it is. On the first day they could not find the second key of the room, the internet was not working is our room and when we left the credit card terminal didn’t work. We had to do a wire transfer. Otherwise the hotel is very very central, confortable and breakfast is good.

Air conditioning was controlled by the hotel

De rust en de airco, plus de wifi op de kamer

    Alles was in orde

The Hotel had a very refined ambience. I believe it stands on an ancient site that was once used for the storage of grain during times of Siege. There were Museum quality artifacts everywhere and I don't think they were reproductions. My room was spacious and comfortable. I had two balconies one for each window. Very handy for my tendency to do some sink laundry and hang it out to dry. Good mini fridge with two bottles of water per day. Breakfast was pretty good and the cappuccini were delicious. It was very close to almost everything I wanted to see in the Centro Storico and elsewhere. They gave me a good restaurant recommendation. The front desk clerk when I checked in was especially impressive but the entire staff was good to great. Very good elevator. I didn't get to try the bar but it looked well appointed. The little lounge area in the foyer of the entrance was comfortable and well decorated.

On my second day I went to breakfast fairly late and a lot of the supplies and food had run out. There were no knives. No whole wheat toast. But give them credit when I asked for these things they were given to me.

Very good assistance of staff during early check in,Good breakfast

lovely hotel but a parts of the bathroom were a bit tired & could do with a minor refurbishment.the staff were excellent & couldn’t be more helpful if they tire recommending places to eat. that it was the towns saints day. even down to correcting my poor Italian.

the small size of the hotel, it’s location worked for me. Although many tourists would not appreciate being in a rundown area. personally I think Toranto has a huge job omits hands but lots of potential in its old town & round the fishing pot on the small sea,

    8Sabina-ioanaPosted on: 9-12-2022

Bed was confortable, bathroom was big, staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast had a lot of options, mainly sweet breakfast as it is usual in Italy. Although the rooftop bar was not open, you could order drinks downstairs and drinknthem upstaris or BYOB. :)

Very central location in the old town. Secured parking was available adjacent to property.

The upper terrace was not open due to Covid. We peaked up there to see that it had an amazing view. I'm not sure why it wasn't open because it is all outside. Plumbing maintenance needed in the bathroom...shower head was broken. Bedspread was torn.

Staff was very friendly. Rooms were very clean and quite.

Breakfast was really very poor. Wi-Fi in the room did not work. Shower was old and partially broken and there was not power with hot water.

This is a very beautiful hotel. The staff were very friendly. The terrace has an amazing view of the city.

Many things: The welcoming efforts made by all the staff. The position in the old town. One travel writer wrote recently: "I know of nowhere in Italy where an ancient past seems so alive." This is an exciting ancient vibrant centre that is gradually conserving its past - whilst seeming to also include the present residents in that process. The careful design of the hotel - maintaining ancient elements into the present structure.... thus creating considerable character to the hotel.Maybe the biggest plus was, on arrival, having a chance meeting with the owner who provided, in very short time a succinct & detailed background history to the city - and gave us a brief tour of some of the interesting features he had included in the hotel development.
