Pros +
- The staff was very friendly.
- service excellentlamb very good
- The location of the property was amazing, has the most exceptional views and the rooms are incredibly spacious and well appointed.
Cons -
- Spa was not available and items on the menu were not available. Also, the road on the way to the hotel had a lot of potholes that were not visible at night.
- menu was pub food rather than 4 star dining
- The rooms are a bit dated and could use a bit of upliftment with linens and new curtains, and the electricals definitely need to be updated.

Excellent breakfast, room, old but very clean. Could do with garden chairs on the balcony instead of office chairs. Bathroom dated but very clean.
No i thought this was a delightful place to stay.we had a wonderful stay, the staff were lovely. We used the spa and the ladies were lovely as well. The views are exceptional, absolutely stunning! Pool area is also very pretty.
The view! And the peace and tranquility - quite remarkable.
Although the staff are lovely, there were occasions where we could not find a staff member in the dining room during dinner and breakfast to attend to us.
The location was peaceful. Facilities very clean and well maintained. Restaurant staff were very friendly.
Reception staff were not very welcoming.
The people working there have good customer service. Especially Shaun
The rooms need an upgrade. Old curtains
My husband and I recently had a short stay at the Coach House Hotel & Spa, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The food was incredible, and the service was outstanding. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The views surrounding the hotel were breathtaking. Overall, our stay at the Coach House Hotel & Spa was the perfect retreat. Highly recommended
Only thing I could fault was the hairdryer
overpriced, tired rooms, bad service and a useless cook.
the steak was overcooked and the Portuguese style was non existent one of worst meals I have ever had, service was just as shocking, one waiter which was also the barman and we had to literally get up and call him whenever we needed to.
The staff are very friendly. The lone glimmer of light...and the food is ok,but priced on the high side (not great, not bad).Bed and towels are fresh and clean.
The photos are misleading. The Spa/Gym area should rather not be advertised,it is extremely moldy/musty.The rooms are dated and the interior is falling apart (shower tiles coming loose, ripped curtains, very musty/moldy smell.)
The view
No hot water Beds are worn out Bathroom is old No WiFi No working TV
The courtesy of the staff. The room was clean. Food was good. Breakfast packs also good.
Property is nice and safe with the heated pool not only open for spa also the visitors of the hotel.
Everything and food was nice.
Shaun and the ladies in the restaurant, reception and Spa really try hard to make you feel welcome and make sure you have everything you need. Shaun should be promoted to GM.
I struggle to give a bad review as the staff are all absolutely brilliant except for the GM who has a terrible attitude, with a clear lack of care and no planning being very evident. One example, there was a power failure and the generator couldnt be started as the battery was flat - again poor management, lack of maintenance and planning by the GM. Without Shaun and his team our stay would have been terrible. The whole place is run down and needs lots of maintenance. Things like damp in the walls, leaking roofs, green pool, rotten ceilings, wifi not working, TV working but no channels available are all common problems on the property. The property is also far from a quiet place, in the mountains and it seems like it is now used more for conferences where the extremely noisy conference goers who pay a fraction of the price that we paid, being able to use the same facilities and eat the same food. WRT the food, you also have to be quick otherwise you will go without. We were amused by the two awards proudly displayed; one in 1998 and one in 1985 - probably both when last the facility was last maintained. The advertised "Valentines menu" didnt ever materialise and we were told it was not available and we saw and spoke to two other couples, who were local residents, leave due to the advertised Valentines menu not being available. The GM even told us if we not happy then we should check out but funny enough refused to refund what we had paid. Also, people need to be warned about the poor condition of the road up to the facility and if you are driving a vehicle with low profile tyres, you are at risk of serious damage.I would not recommend this facility under the current management and being in the tourism industry myself where we have many overseas guests looking for places to stay on the way to Kruger, I would not recommend this facility.
The location was great
When we arrived there was electricity faulty in the area. The beds looked old and the sheets
Location perfect for what we needed. Breakfast was absolutely adequate and well presented.
A little bit of maintenance and upgrading is required. Starting to look a bit tired!
