Cons -
- My son and husband both got sore backs from the beds - rooms 12 and 5. My daughter and I were completely fine in these same rooms though! Also, we didn't eat in the restaurant at night, although that would have been really nice, as there were only expensive options on the menu.
- Everything was a little worn around the edges. (I know that might be part of the antique charm). The big issue was the smell. It smelled like a cross between urine and powder spray. It felt like we were staying in a room formally used as a frail care unit. I feel bad saying this because everything else was great. We told them about it the issue and they immediately offered room spray and came to check to make sure everything was ok. They couldn't do more though. It's just how the room smells. Maybe it just needs some airing. Not sure. I wouldn't be put off from staying there just ask to check the room before dropping all your bags. It was high season and we booked last minute as a place to crash after a long day of driving. If we had more energy we could have made this 100 percent.
- Some mustiness in room.

Some mustiness in room.
Great location with walk distance to surroundings, 2 medium size swimming pool for children, information desk is helpful.
Nice art deco atmosphere. Nice bar.
Small thing: complicated access to room
I have returned here yearly
First room was great, second one crowded no balkony
Pleasant set up, nice restaurant, great staff.
Small beds, poor mattresses
Great location, secure parking, friendly and attentive staff, and a small, but excellent breakfast
The soap dispensers didn’t work properly, but not that big of a deal
Perfect location, in the centre of town. Friendly, helpful staff and excellent room and fascilites. Will be booking again!
Clean. Neat overall. And the family room was great. Especially liked the fact that my wife could be pampered on arrival with a foot treatment at the SPA.
Lovely experience! We used it as an overnight spot and it was very clean, well maintained and staff were very friendly. The Art Deco theme adds a beautiful touch.
Everything about the hotel is lovely: the decor, the food, the staff ..:will definitely return.
Maybe some the staff could be a bit more relaxed and friendly?
Stayed in the hotel a few times before Covid and found that it was getting a little "dated".This was my first re-visit since Covid and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel has since been tastefully overhauled and updated, enhancing its Art Deco heritage. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, including transport arrangements in the rain.
This hotel is worth the visit. Beautiful gardens, swimming pools decor and friendly staff. We return every time and was never disappointed.
The interior of the Hotel is amazing also the Art Deco furniture
Bathrooms need an update in the rooms
Beautiful hotel very efficiently run by very friendly staff. We got a gorgeous garden room , so spacious and near the pool, in the beautiful gardens. Breakfast very tasty and lots on offer. Hotel central in the town with many gorgeous restaurants around . Secure parking.
Nothing to find any fault with .
Pastries (at breakfast) and cakes in other places of the hotel was exceptional. Booked the Cadillac, great experience and worth the money. The history of hotel and old look make it warm and enjoyed to be there. Art deco theme of the hotel beautiful.
The cooked part of the breakfast can do with a bit of colour. Sausages - both choices tasteless and bleak - not tasting like pork or beef (beef even tasted off). Bacon could have a bit more colour. Eggs is eggs, so not much can go wrong there.Shower door of our room did not stay closed, had to improvise with towels
Interesting retro hotel in the centre of town. Comfortable and accommodating for dinner.
Very little. Shower in bedroom a little odd but not so unusual ( found similar in Germany)
Pretty gardens, friendly staff, good location, loved the art deco vibe
Good breakfast. Assistance with the luggage was appreciated
Water bottle in the fridge was lacking this 4 star hotel
