    Pros +

    • Comfortable stay, unbelievable views and a really nice breakfast.
    • Great hospitality, peaceful environment, and good food.
    • Hospitality and the caring was amazing. The manager even gave me medicine for my cold. All my issues was dealt with immediately. I will certainly stay there again. The gardens was manicured well. Waking up with the sound of birds was very special.

    Cons -

    • We didn't know taps were going to be switched off at a certain hour. It did say the area may have water restrictions, but communication is essential as to what happens due to restrictions. Notice could be sent timeously. Bar stock of champagne or sparkling beverages to bring in the new year were depleted at the restaurant, even though acres of vineyards surround us. No stock. Could've told us before arrival.
    • One can see the place is very popular and that some people find the need to brake things, forcing constant maintenance.
    • The design and layout of the rooms. Wooden cabins with shower , bath and bed all in one space. The owner left the light on for my benefit , bugs filled up the room but a little doom was available , which means they are aware that bugs can access the rooms. This made my room jurassic park

The courtesy of the staff and views of the farm land

Our second stay there. Beautiful and fully equipped rooms with beautiful views.

    1GuillermoPosted on: 8-28-2024

not much. Way overpriced for what you get. A lot more affordable and better places nearby

With the "excuse" of "quaint farm" everything in the rooms feel cheap and poor quality. Owner is just focused on charging for everything, even if you don't get. They overcharged for meals. They asked not to book on booking.com and deal with him directly, which occurred in higher prices than if booked on booking.com. AVOID this place

Breakfast was great with a number of options available ranging from cereals, fruit and the standard English breakfast. However dinner was not always great with only two choices available on the first evening.

The dinner on the first evening had a choice of chicken pot pie or Steak, the chicken pot pie was chosen and was completely dry inside and therefore not very tasty, the dinners if you included desert was over priced for what you got.

The guest house accommodated us and were very friendly. The dinner and breakfast was the best we had on our road trip through the country.

    The views and the peace.

Fridge to small, limited crockery. Tv really small.

    Dining area and food delicious

A bit far out of town.

    7AmandaPosted on: 9-4-2023

Location and setting, friendly and welcoming staff, safe and secure. Good dinner and breakfast.

No back-up power, rooms more basic than anticipated, no bathroom doors, no shower curtains. Rooms did not look like the pictures on Booking.com. We expected bathtubs in all the rooms. Only 1 room had a bath. We stayed for 2 nights. Coffee and tea supplies were a bit sparse on the first night. Although we had mentioned in advance that our 92 year old mum would be travelling with us, nobody informed us that there would be a steep uphill/ downhill trek to the dining room. This was especially difficult to navigate during load shedding.
