- The views, the peace and the friendliness of all the staff has no rival in La Digue. The food is incredibly delicious. The even managed to get a pair of shoes I forgot when we left to be delivered in the airport so I could get them back. It we come back, we’ll definitely choose this hotel again.
- Location (pretty views, on a beach although that beach is coral-y and not good for swimming, close to anse severe which is better for swimming!). Superior room had a great ocean view. Pretty good food included with half board.

Cons -
- It just feels like they are cheap despite not being a cheap place to stay. No place to fill water bottles for free, only one thin sheet on the beds (no blanket), uncomfortable pillows, minimal toiletries included that don’t feel like good quality. A la carte food is SO expensive- like $30 usd for a bowl of pasta with no meat in it.
- The rooms and furniture were a little outdated.
- Booked Captains Room. No Air Condition. I was asking 3 days to fix it. Last night they changed the Air Condition. Room was boiling because its under the roof of the top of the house. Couldn’t sleep 3 nights. Totally overpriced the room. No one cared! Room is very very old. Not worth it for money at all. They were telling me they are fixing but only last day they made the effort.

The staff were very hospitable, had great service and they made sure to meet every need. It was very convenient as any queries we had we spoke to the receptionists and they sorted it, stuff like renting bikes, transfers etc.. Also a very good location and an amazing beach outside the hotel.
The rooms and furniture were a little outdated.
Hotel has great location. You have in front of hotel beautiful beach and from vila view to ocean. Hotel give you more than you expect from 3star hotel. I very appreciate help from hotel staff when we forgot there early morning a bag and ferry was close to departure - it was amazing ?
Considering the poor rating on booking (7.7), the hotel left a very good impression. The room is clean, spacious. You could see the ocean while lying in bed. I liked breakfast and dinner, large portions, tasty food. Helpful staff, kindly greeted at the reception, good service in the restaurant as well. Very cheerful and helpful waiter at breakfast, Rivo. But most importantly, amazing location and view. I rate the stay 10 considering that it is 3 stars and really very unfairly underestimated.

Breakfast was great. Staff were very kind. Place was very clean
A bit too expensive for the quality and items provided. The lock on the door did not feel secure
View from the room is pure paradise! We loved our staying at Patatran Village. We had a half board, which included breakfast and dinner. Highly recommended for renting a bicycles from the hotel to explore beautiful La Digue island! Bicycle rent is 150scr for day per person. Food at the restaurant was great and the waiters were extremely friendly and smiled a lot, thank you!
There were no safety boxes in the room, although you could leave your belongings to reception’s safety box for free.
everything was good, the service, the breakfast and the halfboard Menu! everyone is helpful and nice. The place is amazing even if it was windy and we couldn't swim there. For the North part of the island this place is a good Start! you have nice beaches in the near! We got our Bicycles from the Hotel.
Staff especially the head chef and food
Room cleanliness and facilities outdated
The staff was very friendly and the food that is included in the price is very good and large portions! We had a gorgeous balcony overlooking the beach.
The pool deck is quite small, with about 13 chairs, half of which do not recline or adjust. The pool itself was good, the water clean... just a little foggy. The room was a bit outdated in decor but functional with great aircon. As a family with 2 children (6 and 8 years), we felt a little out of place as most of the other guests were much older couples with visably little patience for children. Even most of the restaurant tables were set only for 2 people. At breakfast, they unexpectedly reserved a nice table for us overlooking the beach.... but also conveniently outside of the restaurant and away from other guests. It just makes me wonder how welcome we actually were. This is, of course, not of any fault of the hotel but... something to consider if you have kids with you.
Situated next to the one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. The room Was big and clean, the food was good. Highly recommend.
The staff was very nice and kind, especially at the restaurant. This definitely compensated for the incredibly outdated hotel. The location was definitely the highlight of the hotel - situated on Anse Patates Beach.
The hotel is ridiculously outdated and needs a serious renovation. Everything, from the reception area to the pool, rooms, and restaurant needs some updating. The restaurant area was also quite dirty, considering there is food around. However, the staff was very very nice.
- Staff very helpful- Resident beach is beautiful- Close to town with a bike without the hustle and bustle
- Facilities a bit dated- Breakfast could be a bit better
The most perfect location, exceptional beach, stunning views of the sea, delicious buffet breakfast and dinner, lots of variety to choose from. The staff is so welcoming, nice and enthusiastic about their work. It's great that you can just rent bikes right on the property. Our stay at Patatran was the perfect end to our vacation, we really enjoyed it.
The bathrooms could use some renovations and I strongly suggest to put some thick blankets in the rooms because with the AC on the light sheet on the bed is not enough to keep warm, but if you turn the AC off then it's too hot.
The hotel is right next to one of the nicest beaches we have seen in our life. The view from the room was great. Food at the restaurant was also good and the staff was super friendly and helpful
The hotel needs some renovations. It was not always clean and you could see some mold in the bathroom. Bicycles which we borrow were not in the best condition. The room that we got was not the one we ordered but after one night they changed it for us ?
We loved our stay at Patatran Village Hotel! Our room overlooked the ocean, and we were able to spot dolphins passing by. The food was absolutely delicious (we had breakfast and dinner) and the beach amazing, perfect for the last dip of the day after exploring La Digue. The staff was really helpful, kind and attentive. We also enjoyed creole music and dancing with live music on one of the evenings.
the room was located on a higher level, it can be reached by walking along an alley that goes up gradually. Personally, I liked the location of the room, even if a consistent effort was required to reach it. The room was clean and very spacious. The staff was always very kind. The food was good. I would have liked to have buffet in every evening.
I didn't like that I didn't have enough light in the bathroom to be able to arrange myself/do my makeup
Accommodations: Our room (Honeymoon Suite) was a luxurious haven—spacious, elegantly decorated, and equipped with every comfort you could wish for. The private balcony with a view of the ocean was a highlight, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee, a sunset drink or stargazing at night. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and decorated with fresh flowers. The view from the window was stunning.Service: The service at the resort was excellent. Every staff member we encountered was attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to make my stay special. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and made sure that my wife's birthday celebration was truly memorable. Amenities: The resort has limited amenities. The pool is small with great views of the ocean. They don’t have an in-house Spa but a Spa session nearby can be arranged on request. You can access the beach from the property. The resort charges deposit to use beach towels. The best way to explore the island is by bike. You can rent one from the resort. Dining: The resort has only one restaurant for dining with limited options. We were on a half board package and had to select from a set menu. The quality of food was good. The resort arranged a special candle light dinner for my wife's birthday near the ocean, which was a delightful surprise.Overall Experience: Celebrating my wife's birthday at Patatran Village Hotel was everything I hoped for and more. It provided the perfect setting for a relaxing and memorable celebration. I highly recommend this resort for anyone looking to enjoy a special occasion or just a relaxing. Highlight of the stay was spotting the Milky way from our room. It was Magically!
