Pros +
- The sauna. The fireplace. The setting. Everything.
- Large hotel very well located. Breakfast is great but very crowded. Also restaurant can t be booked.the room was large and with sauna. Would need a bit of modernization.
- It's a complete leisure experience. The cabin lapland authenticity ambiance should not be missed, book it! We don't have to chase and pay to see Northern Lights, it was right infront of our cottage! The tourist activities around the area are rightly - priced. I have lost my phone in the snow at the first day while dragging luggage but on my last day it was on the lost and found! All the staffs are helpful and goes above and beyond in service. The reviews about the BEST BREAKFAST is true! Delicious array, varied choices, good quality and fresh! We hiked,, we spend time on lake and these are all free!!!
Cons -
- Not applicable.
- We arrived late at 9pm and it was snowing. We took the Pyha- Lusto Bus which is convenient. But dragging the heavy luggage while snowing and freezing and climbing uphill, it was dark and not too easy to look thru and navigate. As first timers in the hotel plus these other extra factors it was very challenging for us. We only knew there were sleds the next day in the morning when we saw it. These should have been foreseen by receptions and could have brief us with the situation.
- No salt and pepper in the room

Comfortable cabin, warm and conveniently located next to the ski field and amethyst store
Check-in is late in the day (4pm), sauna did not work
I think the hotel is in a great location and the setting is good, and the restaurant also offers tasty dinners and a really varied breakfast.
The room where I stayed had seen its best years.
The location, the rain dears around us
The cabin is very basic and with minimum facilities/kitchen tools, plus we were surprised to find out we have to pay extra for the pool (as it wasn't mentioned in Booking) and then the hotel just threw the responsibility on Booking
Loved the breakfast and location. Loved the log cabins.
Could provide more toiletries in the bathroom eg shampoo, conditioner and body lotion dispensers
Everything was prefect..Staff were excellent and superb. We enjoyed stayed in cabin log.Breakfast was good
Wifi a bit slow
The breakfast was substantial and a wide variety of choice - my kids loved it. The different types of juices on tap met everyone needs and was very quick turn around of guests.
My only comment would be if the time could be extended until 10.30am as we had gotten in late the night before.
Luosto is beautiful, the walk down to the lake to see the northern lights was idyllic and we managed to see the northern lights. We enjoyed the ski resort being so close for sledging. Staff at the hotel were all friendly and food at the al la carte restaurant was delicious. Staying at the hotel gave us access to the small swimming pool. It was also handy to have a drying cupboard for wet hats and gloves.
We had originally booked a cabin for our family back in the summer, we were disappointed to receive a message a few days before we left saying that it was no longer available due to maintenance and instead we were given a 1 bedroom suite. The suite was fine but felt dated, not that comfortable and if I'd had more notice regarding the cabin, I'd probably have cancelled and booked somewhere else. One other issue was that they 'ran out of pizza' in the restaurant last night, not ideal with a fussy 5 year old!
Friendly Staff on arrival assisted in settling us in plus all staff in the restaurant were fantastic. It was fantastic to have spa and sauna facilities as well as snow and the ice covered lake at our doorstep. Buffet breakfast was delicious and so many options. All common spaces had authentic Finish styling.
Rooms are a little dated.
We loved everything! All the staff were excellent and very friendly. The hotel has everything you could want for including indoor pool, steam room, sauna. And there is kids entertainment in the evening too
Literally nothing! Only having to leave
Staff were friendly. Food was pretty good considering we were vegetarian
Beds and pillows were awful. Couldn't get a good night sleep
Lovely place. Loved the cabin. Very comfortable, warm, cosy. Nice hotel and food and staff are all very kind and friendly.
Everything was great thanks.
Great hotel. The receptionist at our arrival and during our stay was very nice, friendly and funny. Later, we had a problem with our room and an other receptionist, very attentive, found a solution very quickly. The restaurant was fabulous. Local products and specialties. Very good service. The hotel facilities (swimming pools, sauna, private sauna) were great. The hotel is very quiet. There is a very beautiful lake next to the hotel where you can walk, eat next to a wood fire and hope to see the Northern Lights. We had a great stay.
the hotel is amazing, great location, comfy beds, friendly staff but most of all, the restaurant is absolutely amazing! food was exceptional and the setting beautiful. definitely recommend.
The breakfast was great. The only (small) problem was that it offered the same food items each morning. The private sauna in the cabin I rented was outstanding. The staff was very helpful.
Breakfast is good, large buffet and long tables, enabling breakfast also for groups of tourists, so quite busy in the morning.Swimming pool is small, towels to take from the room, no extra towels available. Personnel very friendly. Ski bus stops in front of the building.
When staying longer than a few days, it might be nice to have a car.
The breakfast spread was wonderful and the cabin had more beds than we needed (really long beds :P) - super comfortable though! And the hotel was close to the Amethyst mine and we also saw the Aurora Borealis through the window! All in all, total value for money.
Would’ve been nice to have some lights along the walking path between the cabins and the reception because it was hard to find the way in the dark while going to get dinner or groceries.
