Pros +
- the scenary and the cozy little hut
- Beautiful rorbu location on the marina. Quiet, and removed from city life. Cozy tastefully decorated dining room and living room areas at check in.
- What an amazing experience to stay in a traditional Norwegian house. My niece absolutely loved the bunk bed too. We arrived a bit too late to enjoy the sauna... but what a thoughtful touch to provide.
Cons -
- no linen and towel provided, you need to pay for these OR you can go without
- Loved this darling rorbu! Hated to leave it after the one night. Was not aware that linens are not provided in the booking, but thankfully, could pay extra for them upon arrival. (Then made up our beds). The host disappeared after we had checked in, but very pleasant young woman at the desk available to answer questions. Nice, warm areas to sit for a glass of wine or later on, a delicious slice of dessert. Breakfast is not provided, but can be purchased. We did not experience this as we checked out on a Sunday AM and the kitchen is not open. Had we stayed longer, a light breakfast could have been had at 10am. We left our keys in the basket adt the front door as the checki in was closed.

We like everything. The couple who run the hotel is absolutely lovely. The room was perfect and with a marvelous view of the bay. The sauna was amazing, and the dinner at the restaurant was also perfect. Good food, good presentation, good wine, and after dinner, we enjoy a traditional drink at the bar. Norway is an expensive country, but the quality of the services here makes it feel we paid a great price for such a good quality service.
The living room/kitchen area was comfortable. The location was perfect because we saw the Northern Lights from the room. The bedroom and bed were a bit basic.
The bathroom could be improved and made more comfortable
Cozy, good kitchen amenities and friendly staff.
I would suggest a note about the small size of the hot water tank so that showers can be planned.
The views are amazing.
We had to pay for the bed sheets and the towels because were not included. We had to make our beds.
Felt like an authentic Rorbuer experience, very cosy cabin that was sympathetically furnished with a great kitchen and good bathroom.
We had to pay extra for sheets and towels and make our own beds, and limited capacity in the restaurant meant bookings were essential or flexible eating times
The staff was nice and supportive.
The room I stayed was really small (kaibua). The bathroom was small and not attractive. The beds were really uncomfortable with old mattresses. The overall cleaning was not the best. One of the bed was on the ceiling and was very uncomfortable to reach and sleep in there. . The forniture was minimal and also I asked to change kettle because was rusty. 2000nok for very small room with no kitchen desn't worth it.
It was very modern and new and clean. Very near a wonderful hike
From how it was advertised it was not obvious that the property is not part of the fishing huts. Instead it’s in the back of a more industrial area of the small town yet far away from shops or restaurants. For that it’s quite pricey
Excellent view, the room just feels so warm and nice , the bed is so comfortable, we will stay there for the next visit, highly recommended.
Very clean and the staff were warm and nice
Room was little bit hard to cool off for sleeping.
The two-bedroom appartment/ rorbu was fantastic and very well equipped. The location was good as you can easily reach Kvalvika Beach, Mannen and Henningsvaer by car.
The tiny bay by which the rorbu is situated can be smelly from time to time due to algae.
This place has a great atmosphere that seems to keep up the old-time fishing spirit. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and included a small kitchen and bathroom. To our surprise it even had a little terrace where one could look over the bay. We however chose to sit at the bar terrace as it had some amazing woodwork of eagles and fishes and a bunch of fish drying in the salty air. Definitely a recommendation if you are looking for an authentic experience in a small fishing village in Lofoten.
The rooms are in actual old fishermans housing so the sound proofing is not great but people seem to be considerate of this. Heard a little bit from the neighbours in the morning but nothing that actually kept us up at night. Bedding was not included in the price. You can rent it on the spot and make the bed yourself, but I think this could just be added to the price so that you can arrive into a freshly made bed.
Nice location and accommodation. The beds were very comfy and the room was clean. Staff was friendly.
It wasn’t obvious to me when I booked that towels and bed linen were not included so we were surprised to have to pay extra. As the accommodation was advertised as a rorbu, I was slightly disappointed that we weren’t in a stand-alone building but just in part of a larger building. It didn’t quite have that rorbu feeling I was expecting.
The location and surrounding were perfect the team were very nice and helpful
The apartment was quite old and beds were uncomfortable
Kitchen, sauna for 30€/h
Very small room, was hard to open big suitcase. No shower gel/shampoo
The atmosphere, location, customer service. Everything was perfect. I will definitely come back and same room. The most important thing was, there was no tv, thank you for that.
There were nothing I didn't like.
Quiet, cozy, they have a bar/restaurant/botique
Bedsheets and towels should just be included in the price during booking. Or they should emphasize that bedsheets/towels costs 100kr/person if the guests did not bring their own.
