Great location loved balcony staff very friendly and helpful

Location

Rooms were hot, there was no AC or fans to move air, and windows open only a couple inches. Apparently the hotel shuts off AC at a certain date for the entire hotel without regard to the temperature or personal preference. Our room never got below 75F

Staff, ambiance & food

Great location near the historic center. Very comfortable bed and good amenities. Counter staff were very helpful and attentive!

Absolutely loved the location — it couldn’t be more convenient. The view from the balcony exceeded expectations, and the room itself was very cozy and comfortable.

The only thing missing was wine glasses or even simple glass cups. Everything else was excellent.

The hotel itself is wonderful. The location is near restaurants, shops and cafes. Parking is a breeze.

Good location, close to center without being in the down town traffic, fairly easy to get there by car. indoor parking available next door, €20 pr. day,

I booked the Deluxe double room, been traveling for some time and looked forward to a good rest. Arrived at the hotel and found tired furniture, a worn sagging mattress, did complain about the bed after the first night. The reply from the Hotel was that the hotel was full and no other room available. My stay was during week days when everything is open getting a replacement mattress should not have been a problem.

Lack of A/C!!?

Location is terrific. Hotel beautifully designed. Comfortable room. Easy parking. Good restaurant. Very good staff.

The location was great. Convenient off site parking.

It was a bit old, though had most of what we needed.

Room looked bigger on photos, squeaky lift, could here tv that was in another room, hotel teams communication (in their native italian) wasn't clear and not very friendly. Breakfast was small choice and the staff didn't look after guests but were loudly chatting to eachother in the hallway. While there was a proper coffee machine in kitchen we were signaled to use the watery coffee machine even thought there was less than 5 people total. We were asked if wanted scrambled eggs. Then they just brought out a big tray to put in the warm section. If you want parking, you need to book ahead for 20 eur a night. There's a parking close by that 15eur. I arrived not knowing this and was disappointed at the hotel not having available parking included in the price.

It looks really old, rooms are oldish, hand towels in the bathroom are like napkins for the table. The ambience is kinda scary in the corridors, you go downstairs and you don't feel you are in a Mercure hotel, you feel like in a shady motel. Restaurant, breakfast is really good, but the same you enter to a sad place a guy that just comes to ask you "room number" and you never see them again.

Despite specifically informing the front desk during check-in that I intended to pay in cash, the payment was charged to my credit card without my consent. During check-out, I was told that if I paid in cash, the card charge would be refunded within 2-4 weeks, which I wasn’t informed of at check-in. This lack of transparency was frustrating, as I expected clear communication regarding payment options upon arrival.

Staff were so welcoming - and very helpful to our needs. Room was lovely and beds were comfortable. It is walking distance to the city and parking is close by .
