Casa D'Este - Hotel Ferrara

Beautiful hotel right across from Estense Castle. The room was spacious, clean, and had a perfect mix of classic Italian charm and modern comfort. Staff were incredibly friendly and even escorted us to our room. Breakfast was great with both continental choices and cooked options. Parking was nearby and easy to reach without entering the ZTL area. Loved the free bikes to explore more of Ferrara. We only stayed one night but would definitely come back.

Everything was perfect, location could not be better.The staff very helpful, and the room comfortable.And if you want to eat really good, just around the corner is Antic Trattoria Max, excellent food.

Clean room and in a great location. Very good breakfast.

The mattress was not comfortable. Needs to be replaced. Sagging on both sides. Property faces the piazza so can be noisy at night.

This hotel is right next to the castle. It is in an excellent location ! The hotel is spotless, quiet, and in great condition. The bed was very comfortable and had a great a/c. The best part was the staff. I was able to check in early and stay past the 11am check out time for an hour. They were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great ! It was “made to order” off of the menu along with some help-yourself pastries and fruit.

There was absolutely no counter top space in the bathroom.

Wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Ferrara, right next to the castle. Beautiful room, excellent service, and very helpful staff. Highly recommended!!

I liked everything in this hotel.Romms design, staff service and more importantly the great location.

Cleanness

They offer parking, but they don't have it. They provide you with a voucher on a daily basis and you must search several minutes in traffic jams for a parking spot. If you are unlucky, reception will forget to provide the voucher and you will be fined by the police.Breakfast was so simple not great.many items haven't been offered.

The location is great.

I booked a spa tub room and there was NO HEAT! The room temperature was 19! So no tub use. There was also construction outside my view window.

Location was amazing. Right in front of the castle.

Night receptionist was sub par. Not very professional. I was told that no restaurants were open at 9:45 pm but the. I called a restaurant on the same block as the hotel and easily booked a table for 10:00 pm. Room numbers not very clearly indicated.

the fact that I was in the heart of the town

the lady at the check in seems to be annoyed by her guest arrival instead of showing appreciation for the presences. the room was obsolete the bathroom embarrassing. delicious breakfast but with a silly price. moreover an hotel that want to keep such a level, with that position, placed in a ZTL, without a valet parking that charge 10€ per day to send you park a mile away is just ridiculous, I am so sorry to say that but this was really difficult to believe that was happening.

Really comfortable beds, spacious room and central location.

The staff was not really aware on how some basic things worked. I asked if the roof window had shutters but they said it didn’t and that no one ever asked for them - until I found the switch to close the shutters (a little hidden), so it was actually there.

The location was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable. There was a very good selection of items at breakfast.

The air conditioning was noisy.
