    • We booked this hotel because it was mentioned they had a car park. When we checked in for 2 nights someone told us we could park “not far” but would have to leave early the next morning because of the local market. He finally indicated the public outdoor car park. We dragged ourselves there and we harassed and threatened by 4 bums and were able to escape because we yelled in French and they couldn’t start négociations. We reported it to the hotel and the receptionist just said :” they are not very nice” . He had make us write our plate number “in case something happens to you” and we also wrote on this paper chart that we had been harassed. I would have completely freaked out if I had been alone / in the dark with those huge individuals. No more outdoor car park far away from the hotels for us.
    • location, the few staff were friendly but not overly obliging.

    Cons -

    • Breakfast pastries were ersatz day-olds. Coffee was not self-service.ground floor had the faint odor of sewage, which we experienced in more than one location in Ferrara, but, per fortuna, the breakfast room is on the mezzanine.
    • No tea or coffee facilities in room. We had to go and buy a kettle and cups etc. Couldn't sit up in bed without the whole bed sliding away from the wall. The fittings were worn and tired.
    • The breakfast could have been better, but this is a small hotel so I understand they cannot have everything.

Great location. Very nice guy in the reception. Big room. Comfortable bathroom with big shower.

The breakfast could have been better, but this is a small hotel so I understand they cannot have everything.

    The location.

May room was not very good. The lamp didn’t work well.A little bit dark the room. The hairdryer didn't work properly. There is no elevator.

The location was great: in the heart of Ferrara, close to the cathedral and the castle. The bed was comfy: soft yet sturdy. The shower was powerful. Both the room and the bathroom were quite spacious. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was wholesome with both savory and sweet choices and if you ask for a cappuccino or an espresso or a glass of juice, these are provided; otherwise, there is just cafe americano, which was fine for me.

First, the antiquated air conditioner was VERY noisy. What is worse it was NOT possible to turn it off completely, only to make it go on and off continually, which made it nearly impossible for me, a light sleeper, to get a good night sleep. Next, both the room and the bathroom were DARK even with all the electric lights on, so with my poor vision I could not read or write in the room, and in the bathroom I had to shave not so much by sight as by touch. Moreover, if you stay in my room (Cortina) do not open the frosted glass windows: the view is just horrible and even more unbearable noise will enter the room. In addition, initially only 1 tiny piece of soap, 1 tiny bottle of shampoo, and 1 roll of toilet paper were provided, so if you stay for 3 nights as I did, you need to ask the staff for more. Finally, even though the bed was made daily, neither sheets nor towels were changed for 3 nights, and as the days were very hot, I took a shower at least twice a day and had to use wet towels to 'dry' myself. I cannot remember a similarly disappointing experience in any of the more than a dozen hotels I have stayed at across Italy from Verona to Palermo. These criticisms refer only to my experience at the hotel, NOT to the wonderful, warm, and friendly city of Ferrara!

The staff was wonderful. The location was very convenient and central. The breakfast was also nice with fresh pastries from a local bakery.

I’m so sorry to say but the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. You could feel the springs inside it. I was given only 1 pillow & it was flat and hard, also very uncomfortable. Lastly, there is barely any lighting in the bathroom. There’s a weird multi-color led light in the shower, kind of like you’re at the club. I’ve never seen anything like that ever in a bathroom before! And 1 tiny ceiling light in the whole bathroom that illuminated nothing. It was very dark in there, which is so strange because it’s a very modern & new bathroom.

Very central, lively area but quiet hotel. Staff were very nice and accommodating. Would stay again.

    Disappointing

Booking.com price was too much higher than hotel price. Most of 4 star nice hotels already sold out. So we decided to stay this hotel but room was not comfortable at all and not enough facilities. But staffers are kind and nice.We don't want to use the Booking.com any more.It was the worst experience compare with money value.

Clean, staff is 10/10, food is fresh

No elevator, but not much of a big deal

    Location, friendlyness of the host

Quality of the bed and lack of fresh air in the room. Opening the window was not an option.

A truly surprising experience. An excellent value for money. Me & the team took place to a fair in Bologna and hotel Nazionale was the base of our trip, 40 min drive to the fair at 1/2 of price of a similar hotel in Bologna. Sparkling clean, exceptionally helpful staff. Really recommend.

Providing vegetables to breakfast and possibility to have omelettes for breakfast :). If you would improve / diversify the whole experience would be awesome!

The property was so close to the duomo and castle. We were able to walk to see all of the Christmas markets. There are plenty of stairs so please be mindful when booking this hotel. The breakfast was modest but delicious. The man at the front of reception was very kind and friendly.

It was a bit more expensive than we would have liked.

Excellent location, warm hospitality, and wholesome breakfast. Can't think of any better place to stay and explore the city that captivated De Chirico so much!

Nice place and friendly staff. A Public parking lot was was 400M away which was fine.

No AC meant the windows had to be open to a very lively and loud bar crowd beneath us. Not much sleep was had.
