Hotel Klein Matterhorn

We had wonderful experience at this hotel. We were welcomed warmly, check in was a breeze.. Our room was exceptional. Dinner was awesome. Our host made us feel right at home Highly recommended!!

the owner was very helpful and room was very clean. Location was easy access to train for zermatt.

The triple room was overcrowded with furniture which was not needed. No room for suitcases. A bedside lamp and bin were needed though.

The beds were comfy and the location was right next to the train, which we used with our Swiss Travel pass to easily travel into/out of Zermatt. The hotel offered a great value for our last minute booking compared to other options available.

It didn’t bother us, but a heads up for those with limited mobility that there is no elevator and our rooms were on the third floor.

The hotel is located so close to Randa train station second stop from Zermatt. The room was nice clean with large bathroom. Martin the owner was very kind and helpful making sure that we're alright with the room we chose. It has a small kitchen with microwave stove and refrigerator. The lady in the restaurant was very nice and accommodating and cooked very good food..

The price was alright with the location

Location, staff and Marcia, the owner, was quite attentive and accommodating.the mountain views were incredible and access to Zurmatt was a five minute car or taxi ride and next to the train station. Free parking and evening entertainment/bar .

The 2-bedroom apartment was really spacious and have everything you need. The owner greeted us really warmly and made us feel welcomed. The train station was a 2-minute walk to from the hostel.

Great location for unique hikes in a super cute town with super friendly staff.

Marco the manager was very helpful in arranging a taxi to Zermatt as opposed to expensive train.

Stayed in nearby 1 bedroom apartment that they apparently handle the rentals for the owner in addition to their hotel. Apartment lacked hairdryer and bath soap. Apartment has beautiful view of the Matterhorn and a large balcony. Did not see the hotel rooms.

Family friendly, easy access to Zermatt via train, beautiful views

Could have more updated facilities, but for the price, it cant be beat.

Marco was the friendliest guy around and really spoiled us with our stay. We stayed two nights and got all we needed, plus a little more. He gave us good advice on trails to hike and things to see. This is a nice little cottage nestled in a valley surrounded by mountain peaks. Would definitely recommend this stay!

The owner is very nice and very helpful. He assisted with booking taxi and gave us some tips of places to go. The location is very good, a few minutes from the train station that takes you directly to Zermatt. It is overall good value compared to most other hotels in the area.

The rooms are quite outdated and could do with some freshening up, particularly the bathrooms. The pillows are also less than ideal (very deflated).

Very friendly staff. They were kind enough to accommodate our request to have a room with a kitchenette. The place was clean and comfortable to stay. The views from the room were excellent.

There is no lift, so we needed to carry our luggage 2 floors.

The keeper of the hotel was lovely: he made sure everything was alright even before we arrived and was very welcoming once we were there. The rooms were more spacious than I expected and—although not luxurious—all that I desired! The hotel is also right next to the train station to get to Zermatt, which is quite useful.

The window blinds didn't fully closed, but nothing too serious.

The host knows very well how to make his clients happy. The location is perfect, next to the train station in Randa. Very convinient to reach Zermatt. We recommend it!

I loved staying in hotel Klein Matterhorn. The owner(?) Came outside looking for us when the address in booking.com was incorrect. The place is directly next to the train station (but somehow the train is extremely quiet and does not bother you at night) unfortunately there are NO food places in randa (this isnt an exaggeration) BUT the hotel went above and beyond to make us dinner so we didn't have to go back to zermatt. And that dinner... the best dinner I had in switzerland. A true homecooked meal, well appreciated and a very fair price. It wasn't fancy but it was extremely flavorful. Breakfast was also lovely and included boiled eggs (something most hotels seemed to not have) I'd come back just to eat dinner there more often! Have an open mind to this place and you will be pleasantly surprised.

The guy who checked us in was very nice and welcoming. The apartment is nice. Super well located and good terraces to enjoy them.

The oven doesn't work and the kitchen isn't well equipped.

Marco is a great host. The food was yum. I love that it was close to train & a 15 minute ride to Zermatt for ski & shops.
