Hotel Arkipelag

Breakfast was very good and the room was good size. Outdoor pool and the area was fantastic bonus. View of course good, however the restaurant roof was right in front of our room...

It was difficult to get the TV working (texts were missing) and lady in the reception said that no can do, but later other person got it working. Also air-conditioning was difficult to use, it worked first, but then stopped working and we could not get it back, fortunately it was only one night and morning when room was quite warm. The room needs updating and bathroom was too tight, because there is both tub and shower. We asked for 1 hour later check-out, but was not possible, so there was no flexibility compared to some other hotels. Finally, the price 250 eur/night is totally outrageous for this kind of old hotel. I would say this is 3 star hotel.

The staff is super. Helpful. Friendly and informative. We had a 4am ferry arrival and a midnight ferry departure they accommodated both with personal service. Our departure was 3 days after we had checked out to go up to Eckero and they still welcomed us back stored our bags for 12 hours gratis. It’s a big hotel nice room with a view of the marina. Central location. WiFi was medium strength. Cell signal was 3 bars. Plenty of electrical outlets. Plumbing was modern and well kept. Patio was a plus. Breakfast was large and abundantly stocked. No custom eggs though. Dining room was always near full and the staff kept up with demand. Past reviews had mentioned noise from a disco/casino but we did not encounter that issue and I think the casino is closed.

Plenty of secure card access points. In fact it became slightly obnoxious since Aland seems to have little or no crime.

The hotel is refurbishing the rooms and we still had a bit an outdated one. Seaview is nice but you look also at the roof of the ground floor and that looks a bit old and done

Great location, breakfast was really good, the room was spacious and especially the bathroom was large. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but heard it was really good. We were there during off season and noise from outside was not an issue, even though there was an AC/DC tribute concert next door.

Wonderful hotel! Interier is new and very stylish, clean and the bathroom is really nice, we really liked that you used "Rituals" for shampoo, etc..

We would probably like sauna to be open for a bit longer (maybe until 22:00)

Breakfest were always excellent, various finnich meals and special drinks in Aland mood. I was sinfully completed :)

It is very very hard to say.

The hotel is in the heart of Mariehamn, bed was comfortable and the room was very nice and loved the color in the bathroom. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good and morning staff was very friendly to. I loved that I could watch netflix in the evening and. I also like that the rooms have balcony

It's not a bad thing but a little miss communication maybe, the breakfast was at floor 2, and there is a elevator that goes to floor 2 BUT you have to take the elevator to floor 1 then go up the stairs to the breakfast. But as I said, not a bad thing and I have nothing bad to say. ♥️

Location. Very generous breakfast bag when leaving early. Friendly.

Very quirky layout and a bit dated.

Breakfast was amazing and probably 9/10ths of the reason you should book here, too. The spread was incredible with the usual suspects: scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurts, bread station and coffee/tea. In addition they had various local fish including smoked fish (2 types), herring (3 types), fish roe (two types), local cheeses, and local fruits. It was phenomenal. They also have a left luggage facility which is secure.

That we didn’t stay longer.

Breakfast and location were really good. Bathrooms decor was very nice aswell.

Bathrooms shower could have had a rainshower to complement the really nice decor. Balcony was in need of some fixup and would have been nice if the balconies parapet was a bit higher for more privacy and security.

We got a renowated room with a balcony and a sea view, which was nice. Location was perfect in the middle of town. Breakfast was quite good, a lot of options.

Hotel was only partly renowated so some parts looked a bit dated. It’s best to ask a renowated room.

We loved everything about this hotel: the location is outstanding, the food grommet, the staff are so friendly and helpful, we are hoping to visit again during a warmer season since unfortunately most of the sightseen were closed due to weather

Per my opinion the level of the closet is little bit high. Even with my height it was uncomfortable to sit on that. also about bed - it is too soft. Plus pillows are very very soft. Should be at least 1 more firm.

Great breakfast! Lovely views from the balcony to the sea. Soft and comfy beds. We enjoyed our stay!

Breakfast was very good, with a special section with gluten free products. Bikes were available to be borrowed and in good state.

Location is good, though close to bars and even a nightclub in the hotel. During the night it wasn’t as quiet as it could have been
