Maison Dauphine

The hostess, was extremely accommodating, helpful, and communicative. The room, which was more like an apartment, was beautiful and in a perfect location. The shower was amazing!

Breakfast was amazing and yummy. Kitchen was fully stocked.

It is a very old building. We loved it. The apt was spacious. The only negative was a strong musty odor in the building. I hate to criticize the smell but it was strong thruout the building.

Beautiful place, close to the city center, clean, and had everything we needed. Veronique and Natacha were great hosts! They even provided breakfast for the first morning.

Only thing was that we stayed on the top floor, which had low ceilings, less natural light, and lots of steps for a toddler. It may be more reasonable to advertise the top floor as a separate booking so people aren’t surprised by it. However, I do think with the top floor you get more square footage, so that’s a plus.

Veronique is a beautiful host and went out of her way to make our stay perfect including helping with transportation and restaurant recommendations and reservations. Our apartment was delightful and comfortable with beautiful artistic accents. The layout was spacious and functional for two adults. French doors from the living and kitchen areas looked over a busy side street letting us enjoy the neighborhood activity but the bedroom in the back was perfectly quiet for sleeping. We appreciated the well appointed kitchen and dining area. We would be very happy to stay here again.

Location, location, location. Veronique is welcoming and gave us a lot of useful information about the city. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. I think the mattress was memory foam.

4th floor walk-up apt. If I were to return I would ask for a apartment on a lower floor.

Lovely, spacious apartment in an excellent location in Aix, close to Le Cours Mirabeau, Musée Granet and Rue d’Italie. Comfortable bed, good shower and a convenient in-house breakfast option. Appreciated having a coffee maker, kitchen area and washing machine also the allocated parking place in a secure parking station a short drive away after dropping off the bags ~ 7 minutes walk away from the apartment. Veronique kindly made a restaurant booking at a very nice nearby restaurant on the night we arrived, and was alway available and helpful. We very much enjoyed our time here.

A little bit inconvenient to carry the big luggage to 3rd floor but the host helped me with it.

Maison Dauphine is in a perfect location for exploring the historic heart of the city. It occupies a tall period building just a few minutes from the main tree-lined avenue, and has been decorated with great thought and flair. Hostess Veronique is helpful and responsive.

Unfortunately we were allocated the top floor apartment in the building, which meant climbing six flights of stairs each time we went back. This was a bit of a killer, especially when first arriving with heavy luggage! Also this apartment lacks the lovely tall windows in the other units.

The hostess warm welcome and her caring and show us what’s nice around the city. She even helped us to lift our heavy luggages. Great appreciated! And the house is very cozy and nice. I can have a good sleep! So happened, our second night the electricity of a few buildings are stopped, hostess waited in the apartment for the news update and ask us go for a dinner. You can never find a responsible hostess like her. She is really charming.

The location couldn’t have been more perfect, and the beds and apartment were luxurious! The sweet hostess gave us lots of personal tips and assistance. We are glad we picked the perfect spot to stay in Aix-en-Provence!

The location was great! Walking distance to everything.

The bedding needs to be updated and the bathroom was a part of the room so there is no privacy.

Overall an excellent one night stay. Veronique’s communication was very helpful. We hugely appreciated her meeting us, getting us parked in a convenient local garage and helping us with our baggage. The apartment is a 2 minute walk to Cours Mirabeau so very convenient. The bed was really comfortable and the kitchen superbly appointed.

Firstly the location is perfect, quiet but close to everything in town. The apartment is spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, comfortable and had everything you might need. Véronique is a fantastic host, on hand for any questions you may have and gave us lots of useful information when we arrived.

We had oversized luggage and it was hard drag them up the 3rd floor. Otherwise, everything was great.

The hostess Veronique was very attentive and engaging and ensured we were taken care of and then left to ourselves only being available if needed. The location, just south of Cours Mirabeau is excellent and we were able to walk everywhere throughout the city. While on the third floor the steps were quite low and I was able to bring up two heavy pieces of luggage relatively easily. The kitchen and eating area is well appointed and you could cook a feast there. A worthwhile and enjoyable stay.

There were two primary negatives. The bed is very firm which for those who have a pillow top or softer bed can make it a little uncomfortable to sleep on. The second is the arrangement of the bathroom. The toilet is in an adjacent private area, the sink is within the bedroom and the shower is in another alcove within the bedroom...it just makes from an odd arrangement but it is workable...for couples.

The unit was well-equipped and very comfortable and spacious. It was a great location for walking around the city. The owner was so charming and helpful. She even made us a dinner reservation in the next town we were visiting when we left.

Our stay was perfect in every way. The apartment was so very comfortable and spacious with all the amenities. The bed was comfortable, the shower spacious, the kitchen well equipped, and the living room great for meeting up with our friends for wine and cheese. The host, Veronique, was lovely; she’s friendly, professional and very helpful, quick to attend to any need. She even made dinner reservations for us in the next town we were to visit! If returning to Aix, we would definitely stay again at Maison Dauphine.

There was nothing we didn’t like about the property.
