Pros +
- My wife and I stayed in 5 different hotels during our visit to France. What makes Ibis a good choice is that parking is free (not the case in any of the other hotels we stayed at), our clean and comfortable (if small) bedroom had a/c. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. When I travel with students in France our tour company often uses Ibis (or the similar Kyriad) which makes sense. It's affordable, accessible, has breakfast, and is really all you need.
- Great breakfast. Easy enough to locate from Marseille airport You know, it's an Ibis, they are pretty standard.
- Everything was perfect. Clean rooms, delicious breakfast. The room dimensions quite small, but we knew it before the reservation.
Cons -
- The breakfast wasn't the greatest. Granted I came down to the dining area relatively late (9:00am) and the croissants were gone. My wife had coffee, I had OJ and pain au chocolat. Other than that, our stay was just fine. We are budget travelers so we really don't need anything else.
- We found our door unlocked when we got back from our day out, the cleaner hadn't closed it and the staff member didn't say much when we spoke to them. Just smiled and said it's ok, not to worry! They just didn't pull it hard enough, you see, it's hard to close. Don't worry. Eh? I can see what they did or didn't do, and Ido worry, actually. And there were A LOT of ants absolutely everywhere.
- Small room and bathroom (but very, very clean)

Small room and bathroom (but very, very clean)
Easy drive by car and free parking.
Room was very small. Breakfast was quite small. The room door didnot work properly.
Room OK, convenient location, staff friendly
Didn't sleep at all due to noisy air conditioning unit that couldn't be switched off.Lack of phone charging point - standard and essential for any modern traveller!
very friendly staff, clean and silent, easy to parking
The hotel lived up to the expectations we had when we booked it. It is a budget hotel, which should be taken into account when booking. The room was big enough for all three of us, the bathroom was ok. The room was clean which is important for us.The hotel offers free parking. The receptionists were friendly.
The place was good also tge staff was good quit place good value for money
Its better in the toilet for deep cleaning
- Ok beds and clean bathroom.
- The receptionist spoke little English, so it was challenging to communicate. It's ok if you already speak French.- The room was stuffy and it had some mould on the corners of the walls, so not the healthiest rooms to stay in. (I've been at other Ibis Budget hotels and they were nicer inside).- Free parking is available but not a lot of spaces, so it gets full quickly if you arrive later in the evening or at night.
A midnight nightmare
A nightmare. I arrived at midnight from the airport and the receptionist couldn't find my booking . And he said the hotel was full!! He tried to call 2 hotels but no help from him, no assistance from booking. com. I never experienced something like that. I found on internet another place 23 km far. The days after I sent emails and call the hotel to have my night refounded and they said I have to ask booking.com . They found the booking so it was a mistake by the receptionist. After 16 days no refound yet on my car and no answers
Breakfast was basic but fine and good value for money. Location worked well for our purposes- probably best if you have a car. Room and shower room on the small side and basic but clean and worked well. Quiet at night.
This is a budget hotel so did not expect more.
Aix en Provence is an expensive city. Houses, food, hotels, etc everything is. So if you are looking for a clean, quiet, decent place to stay, dont look around. Come and stay here. İt is İbis and it is budget.
Passable
Tiny room with tiny bathroom. It looked clean except the shower.
The hotel manage with digital systems. That's why the hour is not important Breakfast is diffrent my culture, no problem. I didn't expect anytihg diffrent:) But staff's approach was very good.
Location is far from city center. Also there isn't anything around the hotel.
Cost was ok
Room was very small. Lights in bathroom did not work.
Standard Ibis Budget hotel, recently refurbished with friendly receptionist and safe parking
Very hard to get from highway during rush hours, choked with cars and bumper-to-bumper cues. Overpriced for what offered with room a bit noisy, located too close to road (traffic starts at 6.00 am). No decent restaurant/brasserie around
Budget means "budgeted service" in all areas, literally.
The check-in process using the Booking.com reservation number failed. Nobody picked up the emergency phone. Finally we were not able to enter the hotel and had to find an alternative place to stay for the night. The following conversation with Ibis Budget to clear the situation was absolutely dissatisfying and Ibis Budget was ignorant. Finally Booking.com accepted our complaint and refunded the money with apologies and an offer to reimburse our extra cost also (an option we did not use as the alternative hotel we have found in the night was way nicer and had a nice bar helping to overcome the frustration)
Very good price for the area which is located. Staff is gentle. Parking is very handy since it's large, free and there is a gate which close at night.
Even if it's close to Aix-en-provance, you really can't have a walk on the nearby since there is really nothing to do/see. Rooms are confortable but pretty small, especially the bathroom
Friendly staff.
Bathroom .Noise level from other rooms.Bedroom more like a prison cell.No car park security. Not what I expected from Ibis Budget brand.Usually good quality.€93 per night is high for the experience.
Very nice room big enough for 3 people (there were 4 beds). Big parking place and good breakfast. The hotel is not in central position but if you are driving you can’t get inside the city anyway (we parked at the Parking Rotonda).
