Location and staff

We were placed in a basement room and there was a persistent loud noise all day and night. The hotel team investigated and thought it was the air conditioner so they turned it off, but the noise persisted. Also damp and humid.

Location was great for our needs near plenty of restaurant choices, the iconic fountain, and the train station.

This hotel was not worth the price of stay. The front desk service was friendly and helpful. The morning restaurant service for breakfast was fair. The room was very small, in a corner of the hotel in the basement down a very narrow hallway.

Central location: a 5 minute walk to Cours Mirabeau (the main shopping and eating street) and a further few minutes' walk to museums and the cathedral. Very clean. I'd asked for a quiet room and got it, and I appreciated it. Good blackout curtains in the room.Lovely courtyard. Very good staff.

The shower cubicle needed a shelf or basket for the guest to put their own things on.

Perfect location. The hotel is very clean and the staff is wonderful!! It was a very comfortable stay!!!

Well-located, very clean and well-staffed hotel close to major Aix museums, shopping, and restaurants. Really delightful place to come back to at the end of the day.

Some mattresses were less comfortable than others, and the pillows need an upgrade. There is also noise from the lobby for some of the rooms on the first floor and some mechanical noise in one of the rooms; fortunately, I was able to change rooms to a quieter one higher up.

Room was too small and it was a junior suite. The ac did not work properly.

Intensive renovation with scaffolding all over the hotel so you couldn’t open the room Windows… would have been nice to be informed while making the reservation

Sooo expensive for a semi posh travel lodge - old fashioned fixtures - basic breakfast -

1 - Excellent breakfast, served until 10.30am. 2 - Location was excellent for transport links and town centre.3 - Friendly staff. 4 - No pressure to vacate room early.5 - Good quality toiletries and towels in the bathroom.6 - Bathroom and bedroom were generally very clean.

1 - All windows facing the street were covered in plastic due to external maintenance works, allowing no daylight into the room. There was no explanation, apology or reduction for this. I feel it was unreasonable to expect guests to accept this and it would have made the room very claustrophobic and unpleasant. I managed to persuade the staff to move me to a room overlooking the courtyard, with daylight and a view, but they initially seemed surprised and reluctant to consider this.2 - I found 2 plastic mattress covers rolled up underneath the mattress, making the bed uneven and uncomfortable.3 - Chambermaids did not straighten the sheets most days, simply pulled the duvet over creased sheets.

The location to the train station and Main Street is great. Beds comfortable and room big for Europe.Staff were so friendly and helpful.Breakfast great.
