Pros +
- The hotel has a very good position in the center of the city, near many important objectives. The staff is very, very helpful and friendly! The breakfast is very good, served in a special hall. I got a large room with a terrace, a wonderful place to spend the summer evenings.
- A very good hotel- quiet, central, beautiful and historic. Got an upgrade to lux room with a huge balcony and the view of the bell tower, which I admired. Very nice staff at the reception.
- The hotel is in an excellent location. The staff are helpful and the property is clean and well-maintained except for the air-conditioning system. This is actually my second stay in this hotel. I returned because I like the location and the last experience was good.
Cons -
- The AC of my room did not work when the temperature was as high 35-38 degrees C outside. It was just blowing air but the air is not cold. I know the hotel was full so I did not request room change. I talked to the staff about it and there was nothing they could do. It has been 14 years since I stayed in a hotel that I could not wait to check out. I stayed in 4 other hotels in Provence during this trip and none of them had issues with AC. I would not recommend staying here in summer.
- Cleanliness was an issue. Shower leaked water onto floor, which ran onto carpet, over time, has no caused a musty damp smell. Coffee cups etc were dirty, wardrobe had left over rubbish from previous guests.
- The beautiful building, great room, excellent breakfast.

The hotel was in a beautiful old monastery, so had lots of character. It was in a good location, right next to main streets with cafe's and restaurants.

Absolutely lovely hotel just a half block from the Cour Mirabeau.
The beautiful building, great room, excellent breakfast.
This is a good value for money hotel right in the center of aix, made interesting because it is in an old monastery. Rooms are of a good size. Lots of restaurants near by.
Location - 5 starRoom - spacious and very cleanThe hotel is centrally located that you are surrounded by restaurants, cafes and a short walk to the bus station, shops etcThe staff especially the gentleman at the front desk were very nice and obliging to my request of relocating to another room because the aircon in my room was not working and I wanted some more natural light. We were upgraded to a suite which was large, airy and very comfortable. Thank you!!!!! We were very grateful.
Lovely warm and welcoming hotel in beautiful old building - very quiet and right in the old centre of Aix and extremely comfortable beds.
Location and unique building with comfortable room
Breakfast needed more options and better quality
Excellent location in centre ville right near a Main Street. Easy walking access to the old town, cafes, restaurants, pharmacy, and shopping. Very pleasant staff at front desk; always helpful.
Room had a musty smell. The room also faced an interior courtyard inhabited by a community of pigeons, making it hard to open the windows wide for fresh air (no window screens).
The location was great, in the middle of everything.
The hotel feels like it is on the decline the AC did not work. I had booked this some time ago and the experience did not live up to the pictures.
The hotel is very close to the centre of Aix, easy to reach many of the attractions, and many restaurants. In an old convent it retains some of the original features.
The location was excellent
Access by car difficult when market day. Breakfast expensive if you choose to have it
Location, charm, staff
Slippery bathtub and small & thin towels
Location is excellent. Check-in was friendly, professional. Room was fine.
Bathtub fixture was a little hard to get from tub to shower mode.
I loved the building, which is historic, and the location. It is 5 minutes walking from the train station. Most of all I loved that my room had a balcony which was private.
Nothing to dislike. My room did require climbing a few stairs though. So that may be something to consider.
Great location! Friendly staff. Cool place for sure
Really need to upgrade bath towels. Very small and thin . The mattresses were a little hard.

Our suite was fabulous with huge terrace looking out at ancient bell tower.
Fantastic location in a historic building, in the town centre. Friendly, helpful staff.
