Pros +
- The staff was excellent. The location for public transportation to Cinque Terre was terrific.
- great staff, excellent breakfast, great secure parking
- It was a great location and felt clean. The staff at the front desk were great and very helpful and the breakfast options were good.
Cons -
- The rooms were small, but not unusually small for Europe.
- terrible flat pillow, A/C did not work, so busy street was loud when window was open there was a mold smell to the bathroom, especially the shower and sink
- There was a window in the washroom that didn’t feel private enough and you couldn’t cloaked it private. It was those glass cubes but I could tell it looked into a storage closet and while i was drying off from my shower someone went into the storage because the light was on. I don’t think this is appropriate and they should do something to make that pointless window private. There was also a cockroach trap under the bed but I didn’t see any bugs.

Friendly and helpful staffs
A bit far (~30 minutes) walk to La Spezia Centrale. Room is very small for three twin beds. Breakfast area is quite warm during heatwave
Very Clean , convenient location, the staff is very nice and helpful.
Love the location
Mattress was a bit too hard for my liking. Pillows were very flat but not uncomfortable
Hotel Corallo was the perfect base for our visit to La Spezia and Cinque Terre. The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk to both the marina and the train station, making it incredibly convenient to explore the area. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast exceeded our expectations with a wide variety of delicious options. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the staff. Every single person we encountered was kind, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We were traveling with a baby, and the level of care and attention we received made all the difference.La Spezia itself is a great place to stay when visiting Cinque Terre. We explored the villages over two days, and even with a train strike on one of them, we were able to enjoy a scenic boat ride that was slower-paced but just as enjoyable. We would absolutely choose to stay at Hotel Corallo again, thanks to the hospitality and warmth of the team, it felt like a home away from home.
Last minute booking worked out well. Helpful staff & a great breakfast buffet!
Location, staff was excellent, good breakfast
Street noiseGettibg AC to regulate was challenging
Own parking spots for a nice price. Good check-in procedure with both Italian and English-speaking colleagues.
…. location, staff very ok, breakfast, cleanliness, all good… I recommend !
All was excellent ! So…
Our visit to La Spezia included a day long trip on a ferry boat along coast and visit to several of the "5 towns", hence the hotel selection a bit out of the entertainment streets... but still a brief walk. The ferry boat tour was excellent.

Easy walk to the centre. Car Parking although expensive and tight. Breakfast fine if a little institutional. Room fine with excellent AC, needed in late September!
Nothing really
Lovely staff, always greeted with a smile. Room was great with a comfortable bed.Hotel was situated near the marina and shopping area. 5 mins by taxi to railway station or a 15min walk.
The view from hotel window but we didn't spend a lot of time in room so not a big issue.
Centrally located, garage available and delicious morning buffet
No Elevator!
We really liked the location of the hotel - it was close to the port and easy to get to from the train station. The staff was nice, breakfasts were great. We could also store our luggage when checking out. La Spezia was a good place to explore Cinque Terre and we would come back again.
There was no lock in our room, the door had a standard door handle from the outside - this didn't feel very comfortable. The room also didn't have a safe box. We would appreciate a better hair dryer.
We loved the breakfast! A lot of items to choose from with fresh fruits and different breads. The location was great, 15min walk from the train station and 10min walk to the boat.
Personally, the pillows were too hard for me. My husband didn’t mind.
This hotel have a good situation, close to the station La Spezia Centrale, the train is easy to take to Cinqueterre, Portovenere or Pisa! The personal was really kind and always helpful. The room was clean and the bed was also good. We don’t have too much noise from the street. The breakfast was varied and good. I also appreciated than people tried to speak in French even if I could speak in English!
We can hear other rooms maybe a bit too much, like we were wake up once by the shower from the room next to us but it’s only the bad point I would say.
Good location of the hotel, close to different shops and bus stops. The staff is so friendly, helped in solving all my issues. Also, tasty breakfasts!
Located close to the beach, clean and friendly.
The bus line 3 from the hotel to the train station takes a long time. Perhaps it could be made faster, or the hotel can provide a taxi service to the station for say 20E
