Pros +
- Quaint, cozy, quiet.
- Staff was very friendly and the area was amazing
- Staff were amazing! They were so welcoming and really tried to make you feel like family. We did the Pesto making class with them and it was a great experience for my husband and I on our honeymoon! Love the area that we stayed on! It's right on a main walking mall with tons of restaurants and storefronts!
Cons -
- There were some drawings with black paint that were a little weird
- The design itself is quirky and at first a little creepy feeling (like someone had a menty b and drew on all the walls lol) it definitely doesn't fit the design of the outside. Also the lighting is very dim. I wish the lights were brighter! These are minor though. Overall we had a wonderful stay,

Hidden Little gem in the heart of the city. Wonderful staff! Great recommendations for dining. They made reservations for us! Very clean and cute!

We loved the personal treatment we received. The location was excellent. Located in walking distance to restaurants, shopping and train station.
There really wasn’t any that I can remember not liking about this Hotel.
Anna, Pietro, and Guglielmo are literally the best hosts ever. They went out of their way to welcome us to Italy, tell us how to get around Cinque Terre, and made us a reservation for one of the hottest restaurants in La Spezia. The place is also a little slice of heaven tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, while still managing to be central (literally in the middle of the city) to La Spezia. The place is super clean, the AC is strong, the facilities are great, and we also booked an authentic pesto making class and it was fantastic. You’re getting a class with a former chef who worked in a Michelin star restaurant.
Nothing. I 100% recommend!! Having stayed in multiple places in Italy from luxury hotels to hostels, Novecento by far is top tier.
Perfect location, cozy little hotel with lovely rooms, nice breakfast and exeptional staff
Staff,Staff,Staff they are a wonderful hard working family that is absolutely beautiful and proud of their slice of Heaven and Breakfast was Great too
I could have stayed longer
Staff very helpful and accommodating Location very central with access to harbor, train station and restaurants Very cute and quiet courtyard
Quaint location in the heart of Le Spezia.Close to train station, in pedestrian area of downtown.Extremely friendly staff!!!
The location is a short walk from the train station, and has many restaurants nearby. The bed was comfortable.
The soundproofing was not good. We live on the ground floor near the reception area, and could hear the noise when people come in during the night. Can also hear people next door.
Awesome Location . Right next door to cute town . We would sit outside the patio to relax and play cards.
Wall safe not connected. Would like to have my own table and chairs outside my patio door as there was room for it .
You can tell effort is being put into the property to make it special. It is off a main busy walking street but so quiet-an oasis. The staff- especially Anna and Pietro are charming and warmly take care of you! Great espresso and coronettos too! Bed and bath linens were excellent!
The room was small as was the toilet(per my husband). I didn’t care for the decor but not in room that much.
Nice locations, facilities and staff
Everything ok
Loved the location. So glad we chose this area. The people that run the hotel are warm and very welcoming. World stay here again.
Room was a tad small. But it’s the norm in Italy compared to Canada. Otherwise we were comfortable.
The hotel is centrally located. The staff extremely friendly and welcoming. The property is charming and nicely decorated with art from a local artist.
Unique location tucked away in a calm courtyard right off the main street. Family operated and very friendly, offering many recommendations in the area!
Really nice place, quiet and nice terrace. Very friendly staff
Location was perfect! Short walk from the train station and right in the middle of a Main Street down a small alley away from any noise. Come out of the alley turn left takes you down to the port. Plenty of restaurants around. The property was originally a bordello and casino years ago.
Would gave liked to have stayed longer!
Great location. Staff were very warm, friendly, and helpful. They highly recommended that I go to Portovenere, a half hour away (5 euros round-trip by bus), and I was really glad I did. It has a similar feel to Cinque Terre but without the big crowds.
My room was very small, but had everything I needed. It was funny because I went up 6 stairs to the bathroom, which seemed really big because it was about half the size of my room! There was a fragrance in the room, one of those plug-in things that emit a scent. It wasn't a bad smell, but I am sensitive to scents that aren't natural. The second night I actually put it outside my door. Other than that, it was a good stay and I would definitely consider staying here again!
