In a word: avoid this hotel and restaurant. They apparently have a new building and an old dilapidated building. For some reason they placed us in the old building (a family of 4 in two rooms were booked that were named "superior"). The old rooms are low quality, shabby, dark, unventilated, etc. The price is therefore way too expensive for the experience. Avoid the hotel and frankly if you can help it - try to avoid staying in Ribes de Freser and choose a nicer place to spend the night. As for the restaurant: service was friendly but food way too salty to eat the food. It was a set menu and we ordered many of the choices which were either salty or bland (e.g. the fish in oven is not a whole fish but a 3 cm piece, the Calamari Paella had no calamari in it, etc.). The desserts were amusing: the crème brûlée was pasty etc ). Avoid!

Lovely family run hotel. We arrived via train, there were no taxi's and the receptionist kindly collected us in her car.

The hotel was well located and close to the cremallera for Vall de Nuria. It's a 20-minute walk from the train station. Taxis are hard to find. Overall, it was a great place to relax and disconnect. A very quiet and comfortable hotel.

I enjoyed everything, but it would be nice to have an extra vegetarian option on the hotel menu and maybe a smart TV in the room with access to Netflix, etc. I like to watch a series before bed, and there were only regular TV stations to watch.

The location is excellent for going to visit Vall de Nuria. The breakfast is ok (a little expensive if you comparte with other coffe shops in town, but it's open almost all days). The staff is very very gentle and are allways willing to help with a smile. The heating system is great and the room is comfy. Excellent for resting after all day sking or hiking.

Overall was good but we had a awful experience the restaurant. My wife (pregnant) ordered canelones and after a while eating with a weird flavor that she thought it was the sauce, she found a plastic freezer bag inside the food (about 10cm x 20cm). We told the waiter and they brough one new plate, but as you can imagine she wasn't hungry anymore and also wasn't confident of eating again. Certainly it was frozen food. Even less being pregnant. In the end they did't offer any discount and charged for the whole meal. I mentioned the incident but apparently it wasn't a valid claim.

I have lost count how many times we've stayed at Els Caçadors now. It's our favourite place and we try and go as often as possible for hikes around the valley. Amazing always. Staff are fantastic, food is wonderful, location the best. Unbeatable.

Great location, really close to the station to go to Núria so easy to get to it (just 5min walking). Nice and reactive staff

Our room was not clean… We found terrible things inside it (old razor in the shower, hair on the ground, the glass door was filled with fingerprints and various things, cleaning product still visible in the toilet etc.). Fortunately we changed the room with the help of the reception staff but well, the second room was more clean but not as clean as expected. I would never have a bath in the bathtub.

I've lost count how many times we've stayed at Hotel Els Caçadors now. We love it there. The staff are super friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and comfortable and in our favourite part of the Pyrenees. The restaurant is fantastic. This time we had a bit of trouble with a noisy neighbour upstairs but reception sorted it out within minutes. We'll be back again soon and again and again. Just can't get enough.

Room with a modern design. Very comfortable beds. The amount of chairs to organize ourselves during the stay. The location was perfect for our hiking trips and was close to the shops. The access to rooftop with jacuzzi for free (that had a great view on the mountains). The lady on the reception was very nice. The restaurant food was excellent.

When we arrived at late night the room was very dirty. The floor was full of dust and long and dark hairs. We had to clean it by our selves because the reception was already closed when we saw the dirtiness. There was also hairs in the shower and in the bed and the pillows. The walls near the windows had a lot of fungus.

A large comfortable room in a lovely characterful building. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was great and they accommodated my husband who has to have gluten free food.

The only thing that could have been better was the shower which was very dated.

Quiet well appointed room that was clean and comfortable. The reception was very helpful and had secure storage for my bike which I could access early the next morning. I dined at the hotel restaurant which was excellent. I really enjoyed my stay.

Good location. The room was unexceptional. Continental breakfast is 12€, but it was pretty basic.

The shower was in a horrible state - lots of mold on the silicone, the door frame is falling apart due to moisture, the shower head barely working. Since the shower is open, water splashes everywhere. The balcony door was a bit broken (hard to open).
