Hotel De Ville

The room was awesome. Spacious, clean, and unique. The towels were soft, the shower hot and the water pressure good. We really liked everything about the room itself.

Getting to the hotel from the main train station is kind of sketchy. And even though the hotel is located right in the port in what seems to be a very touristy area, it?s also a sketchy, dirty area. We didn?t feel comfortable taking our kids out at night.

Excellent location right opposite all attractions. The suite was spacious and had two bathrooms which was a great bonus. The staff were friendly and attentive especially the lady at breakfast.

The hotel is located right at the harbour close to all of the main attractions in Genoa. The rooms were very clean and the staff was outstanding. We decided to have breakfast at the hotel and it was well worth the money.

Nothing. It is hard to unload and load your luggage from your car directly in front of the hotel because there is no parking space. There is nothing they can do about it though, and there is anyway an indoor big parking space just a 3-minute walk which is usable by the hotel's guests through a card and for about 26 euros per day.

Good location, a couple blocks from the beach. Room very clean with a little balcony that gives a nice ventilation and in an area that is quiet and sleep early. Nice staff! Breakfast is amazing! Beautiful rooftop with a pool.

Bathroom very badly designed, tiny shower, no mirror in front of the basin, very poor breakfast.

I looks scary bad from the outside with McDonalds on both sides, dirty looking but inside it’s a grand old hotel. Rooms were very nice, large and refurbished. Dining room very nice, good breakfast and it is close to everything. No parking if you have a call not even a space for you to pull up for a couple of minutes so do as all Italians do… just double park or very close to the parked cars. Staff will help with bags. All in all nice place don’t let the outside looks deceive you

An acceptable stay at an excellent location!

Surprised that the Emergency Exit was blocked by a cleaning cart, cleaning tools, misc. equipment etc.Breakfast was nicely presented, but basic things (e.g. pieces of good bread) were missing.

The location was good for the marina and the town centre. 12mins walk from one of the main railway stations.Room was a good size, clean and the bed large and comfortable.

Breakfast was ok, however limited bread products and fruit. Slow to replenish items as they run out.

Our room and bathroom were huge. Very stylish hotel inside. Like the other reviews say, the staff and breakfast excellent. Love that they don't charge extra for a dog, and provide bowls!

Obviously, McDonalds below this beautiful property isn't ideal, but we will definitely stay again!

Good hotel, good location, clean and spacy room

Very good breakfast, large room (however stairs quite noisy, needs repair), friendly personel, clean & warm.

Beside that breakfast was very good, I think that service needs some improvements. Dishes was not taken from my table for a while, even if Waiter was coming near by. Having kind of "PARK & KISS" parking slot in front of the hotel would help us a lot, as in general parking there (even only for unloading) is forbidden, where somebody talked to us something in italian, guessing that we can't park there.

The location is perfect for the aquarium and the main attractions. However in the evening it is not very nice to walk around.
