    Pros +

    • The staff are all super helpful before and during our stay. The room is also well maintained and cleaned. We absolutely loved the common area (huge living rooms that looks like a library).
    • Very chic, lovely room and very comfortable. Very good breakfast in a lovely attic style room with balconies.
    • A consistent and stylish aesthetic in the public spaces and the room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good too.

    Cons -

    • (1) Please do NOT use goggle map if you are staying here. Approach the staff for assistance on the best and safest way to head out and come back. We did not feel entirely comfortable traveling in that area, as the map directed us through back alleys and poorly lit parts of the neighborhood where groups of men were gathered at night, creating an uneasy atmosphere. (1) We stayed in the duplex suite. I would like to suggest that the hotel put in more well hooks where we can hang clothes/jackets on the first level. It's approaching winter and there is no place to hang out clothes without climbing the stairs up and down.
    • Liked it all.
    • There were no real amenities in the facility other than the breakfast room. Our room was small and rather barren, with a lovely view of the old square but barely enough space to store our stuff in the sleeping room and in the bathroom. For what you pay, would've expected a little more space and comfort. Kinda felt like an artsy, glorified hostel.

Great location, cosy place, high ceilings

    7MarkPosted on: 9-9-2025

The breakfast was very nice. The facility has a certain look - sleek, modern, located in a historically registered building with period details and the structure of a renovated palazzo. If you're looking for an artsy place in the heart of old Genoa, this place is perfect for you. It has exhibitions in one big room and another room is a library with many art books and mid century modern furniture. The location is great, amongst the warren of alleys in old town and easy walking to most of what you want to see there, including La Strada Nuova.

There were no real amenities in the facility other than the breakfast room. Our room was small and rather barren, with a lovely view of the old square but barely enough space to store our stuff in the sleeping room and in the bathroom. Great location, very kind and helpful reception staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with everything you need. They also offer tea, coffee, and pastries throughout the day, which was nice. Highly recommend!

    Limited amenities in the room

Location was great for sightseeing. Short walks.View of the plaza from my room was lovely. Breakfast in the plaza below was super.Church in the plaza was magnificent.

Difficult to find. Locals had to guide me personally.A littlle extra information would have made everything easy.A historical renovated property but the toom renovation was very plain. However, meeting salons were wonderful.

Perfect location, we had a suite and it was a nice size for the three of us. We liked the furnishings, large windows, comfy beds, and everything was nice and clean. We also liked how the sofa was converted to bed each evening and put away each morning, which didn’t happen in other hotels we rented during our travel throughout Italy. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but enjoyed getting filtered water there and once brought some pastries and had them in that space. The space there was clean, had plates, cups, etc. oh and the front desk staff were super helpful. They got us cabs when we were away from the hotel; we just needed to text them via WhatsApp when we were ready to be picked up.

The staff was amazing, the rooms were nice, bed was comfortable and the view from the room was great. Already booked another stay here.

Can’t get to it by car even just to drop off luggage. Parking about a 10 min walk but they do offer TukTuk service so we used that on the way back so we didn’t have to haul all our luggage.

Location a little hard to find but well worth it. Clean and staff were very helpful

    Hard to find

    8MarisaPosted on: 7-6-2025

Simple, clean. Spare, but everything you need. Well located for seeing old city. Permits dogs, which was essentail.

Only one elevator which was out for part of a day, requiring a long climb. Because the hotel is located in pedestrian area, the porter should be available to move luggage earlier than 10AM.

    10JanicePosted on: 7-5-2025

The beautiful design and historic preservation of the palazzo. The helpful staff. The outstanding breakfast and access to the terrace and the fascinating library collection of art and architecture l. Even the music created a light jazzy atmosphere.

At first it took getting used to the pedestrian only access and the taxi pickup but again the staff made it easy to find our way in and out of the hotel. That is minor compared to the easy access to the sights in the historic district.

Beautiful building , lovely second floor facility and very nice bathroom. Excellent location

Bedroom small and lacked facility for dressing , and make up etc. poor storage/hanging space

    4AshleyPosted on: 6-30-2025

The stairs inside are very pretty

The front of the hotel is a bit deceiving. The rooms were super small, the ac didn’t work and the lounges were just seating areas with no bars/drinks and also no ac so they were super warm.

    8ManfredPosted on: 6-9-2025

Excellent location close to old harbor and cathedral. Nice breakfast on rooftop terrace. Old building but functionally modernized. Very friendly staff who made good restaurant recommendations and was helpful in any way.

Some design flaws in having the AC unit under the front window. Since you needed to draw the heavy curtains to keep bright light from the plaza coming in at night, the air flow got restricted and the AC rendered only partly effective.

    7CharlesPosted on: 5-9-2025

Very nice hotel, comfortable bed, and excellent breakfast on the rooftop. Very friendly and helpful staff with excellent English. No complaints at all.

    10JjPosted on: 5-1-2025

Great breakfast, a historical property with lots of charm and the latest modernity. The staff was very welcoming and helpful.

    10FrederickPosted on: 4-30-2025

Great location, building is beautiful, rooms are modern and well equiped. The “living room” on the second floor is fabulous, with a clever mix of modern design and old stones. I enjoyed having my (virtual) meetings from such a location. The free Nespresso coffee machine and caps helped a lot!

    That I couldn’t stay longer…

    10CathyPosted on: 4-27-2025

The palazzo conversion has been so carefully done. The lounge room on the second floor is just beautiful in the mornings particularly. Hearing the music from the chapel next door. Our room. Everything really.

    I really can’t find anything.
