Great Location, enormous rooms, very nice staff, good breakfast

The original hotel apparently was fully book, so they upgrade us to a five star hotel. Grand Hotel Savoia part of the same group. So the hotel was great, beautiful views from the jacuzzis and bar on the ok floor

When they upgraded us, they told us the breakfast will be included. But once we arrived to the new hotel they told us we misunderstood them. The communication was in English and we are really sure that they did in fact offer free breakfast. They say no

Prilikom check in-a rečeno nam je da imamo doručak!Jasno smo pitali da li je to tačno jer nismo platili doručak - potvrdili su nam da je sve uredu i da imamo doručak kao deo paketa.Prilikom check out (pokušali) naplatili su nam doručak za dva dana. Protestvovali smo i onda “postigli dogovor” da platimo doručak za jedan dan.Ovo nije bilo profesionalno niti pošteno sa strane osoblja hotela koje je sa namerom pokušalo, i delimično uspelo, da dodatno naplati usluge koje nismo želeli.

Staff was excellent

The cleaning service was bare minimum. Sometimes our cups weren’t even replaced. The towels also had a bad smell. The rooms have an outdated design. Breakfast felt like a cafeteria both in food and service. We can’t complain however, the price was very low.

Lack of US electric plugs.

The location was excellent. We were able to walk from Train station to hotel and also very close to port to get to our cruise ship!

We really did not have any issues

Rooms were large and comfortable..view from corner window was exceptional.Morning breakfast was excellent.Train station 2 min walk from train station. Walking distance to cruise port however with large luggage a bit difficult to roll on uneven cobblestones;)Vintage lift was awesome.Would recommend staying!

Common in Italy. There are steps to get to lobby which not stated in Description...

Very clean but rooms very small

Very small rooms. Hotel closes early so you have to enter through sister property.

There is only 1 elevator & most of the time it wasn’t working. Breakfast had few choices

Location. Very good service and breakfast. Classical building and style.

We were upgraded to their 5 star partner location. Great location within walking distance of the train station. Walkable to the water and historic sites. There are two restaurants that are both great. Service was excellent. Breakfast is also available. Gym was excellent. We also had a couple's massage.

The rooms were big & comfy; the hotel’s location to the Bahnhof is walking distance.

The elevator was often not working

Out of 7 cities and hotels in Italy this was by far my favorite! The staff, breakfast, location, restaurants, hotel bar, comfortable bed, great shower! I can’t say enough good things!!

I wasn’t a fan of Genoa, the continental hotel made up for that!!

In fact, I stayed at sister hotel Grand Savoia, since that was sproposed to me by Booking.com (?). Thay told us that this is an upgrade to 5 star hotel. I saw it as a downgrade, since the room we got was to small and window overlooking a wall which was 2-3 meters from window. Perfect room to avpoid especially if you’re claustophobic. Nothing else had a special value of 5 star hotel. Bath tube was far from being plesant, and didn’t work well. I dont know whos fault was this “upgeade” but do not propose me enymore such a replacemenr!

Many things - first of all being fer to client, and not give them such a room if you promete it as an upgrade!

We liked everything about the Hotel. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The room was perfect, with attention to comfort and quality. The food at the hotel’s restaurant was exceptional. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious. The view from our window was spectacular.
