Pros +
- The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance of all the main sites and train station in Genoa. We felt very safe and comfortable here. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast options include a good variety and make it easy to start the day.
- Location was great, bus, metro, harbor and cable car 5 minute walk. Staff was great, super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Coffee and pastry shops feet from the front door. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else when I return to Genoa.
- Staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. It was very easy to locate and close to the train station. The hotel and rooms were cleaner than what I expected in an old, historic place. We would stay again in spite of a couple of problems.
Cons -
- The room's heat was set very high, and we were not able to change the setting, so at times we had to open the window. However, it was not unbearably uncomfortable - just a minor inconvenience.
- I think they should have had a bit more variety for the breakfast as it was limited to a hard boiled egg, a couple slices of cheese and one type of meat. No cereal. There is an Irish bar in the alley close to our window which made it impossible to sleep until after 1 am on a Saturday night. Sunday was a little better. Take earplugs and you’ll be fine.
- A minor point: as a tall person, I had to do some 'gymnastics' to fit in the bathroom. That wouldn't stop me from staying here again.

The hotel is in an old building, so expect narrow hallways and tight bathroom space. In return, you get a great location, a wonderful staff, a clean and comfortable room, and a good breakfast.

Staff, breakfast, location
Step up to bathroom was a little dangerous for us older folks
A fantastic stay! The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff's service was truly excellent. The location is a major plus, being just a short walk from both the Genova Piazza Principe train station and the charming old town. Highly recommended!
Nice front desk people...good bteakfast...great location...
Great central location. Very helpful reception staff. Parking available just around the corner
All good
The breakfast was ok and the location was really good. We were able to leave our luggage on the Hotel after our check-out to go on a tour and come back afterwards to take it. The bed was comfortable.
We couldn't have an early check-in. The Hotel was full of people and the breakfast room was absolutely noisy and stressful. There's only one tiny elevator and it takes a million years to wait for it. People with knee issues are not recommended to come to this Hotel as the step of the stairs are too high. The room was too tiny and dark.
Excellent breakfast. Staff very helpfulNice room, slightly small.but I was only there to sleep
Only having a lift..made it slow sometimes
Good central location Very helpful gentleman on reception helped us with nearby places to eat Good breakfast plenty of choice
Nothing all good
1. Good location. It's walkable to Piazza Principe train station, cruise port and tourist attractions in town. There are two super market and many cafe near by.2. Room was with a large bed, clean and quiet.3. Friendly staff, OK breakfast, reasonable price. 4. Recommend and will stay here again.
Very good Location Room is comfortable staff friendly
Very very bad breakfast Room without breakfast is better
Good Location. Friendly Staff
The internet was not good
We liked the position, especially if you have to take the train, since it is near the Principe train station. The room was ok and clean.
In our opinion, the bathroom was small, as were the spaces inside the hotel. Additionally the rooms weren't well soundproof.
The lady on the desk was very nice and friendly
Very old building, noisy, poor breakfast, parking far away , cement floors, ugly ceiling and old furniture
Friendly reception, kind service at breakfast including freshly squeezed orange juice offered spontaneously.
Weak and vacillating internal wifi network.
Breakfast was very good and the staff was helpful. Great location.
Room 551 is very uncomfortable and looks like a storage room turned into a hotel room by adding beds.Bathroom had a huge single step in front of the door.Very narrow hall,so narrow that it's very difficult to enter/exit the lift.Could be also dangerous in case of an emergency exit. Also a misunderstanding about the parking place we booked in advance,so we had to park to the port ,wait in line and then come back walking. Not a huge distance but still..
The place is simple, but functional. It is an old styler, but it is clean and the staff was very polite. Breakfast was decent as well.
Did not have A/C because was October. That's not right because you ask for it when you do the reservation and was included in the price.
