    • Thieves and liars

    Cons -

    • The hotel is located inside the hub of drugs dealing. and prostitution. We were so scared in the streets and even while staying in hotel. It’s very dangerous place.

    • Thieves - Someone from the hotel entered our room while we were out to dinner (they make you leave the key at the reception) and took the number from my daughter's bank card. We had just received it the day before, it was not yet activated and that was the only place it was not physically with us. We only made a quick overnight stop in Genoa on our way south. Two days later we learned that someone in Genoa tried using it to make online purchases. Liars - 1) This hotel does NOT have a parking lot. They tell you to park at the city parking lot at the marina. They claim to get you a discount but when leaving, no discount was applied. 2) This hotel does NOT offer breakfast, they merely indicate the café down the street where you can buy breakfast. 3) This hotel had an air conditioning unit in the room, but there was no remote control to turn in on.

The hotel is in a great location very convenient to visit Genova. For the reviews complaining about the people around the hotel don’t mind them, you are visiting a large port city so yes there are people of different races hanging outside it is not dangerous,The walk from the Main Street to the hotel entrance is 50m And they have 24h staff at the front desk. The hotel is clean, the rooms are clean and have air conditioning and fans. The front desk is kind and helpful. If you are looking for a good budget accommodation this one is great.

I did find the bed in our room (#12) a little small, for one night it wasn’t a big a deal but for two people it was a bit tight compared to other hotel doubles we’ve stayed in.

Not comfortable, location is not good, depressing room, no enough light.

If you want a stay with listening to people having sex, bad internet you should stay at rom number one

Outside they selling drugs and prostitutes near by

    3KingaPosted on: 3-16-2025

It is okay for one night, as a quick solution.

Definitely don’t go there with kids, only with a man who is strong, big and brave. :) Terrible area, junkies, prostitutes around. However, arriving to ‘Italy’ is only 5 minutes walk away..

There were a few things we didn't like and they were related to misleading information in the Booking ad. First of all is the parking lot - it was announced that there is a parking lot, but when we got to the place it turned out that there was not and we had to park 10 minutes away from the hotel for a €20 surcharge. In the second place - it was announced that the room I booked had a bathroom, on the spot I again had to pay extra for a private bathroom, another 10€.

The bed and the pillow was comfortable, the hot water in the shower was a plus after a long day in the city. The hotel is in the old town so I didn't have to walk far for the sightsees. The recepcionist were really nice.

I got a groundfloor room right behind the reception, so it was loud because the walls were paper thin. The heating didn't work so the AC was functuoning as the heating, but it was loud and I didn't get the controller with the room, so I cluldn't turn off or anything.

The hotel’s interior is reasonably adequate for the price. However, I must be honest—this was a choice I regretted even before stepping inside. While the location is convenient, close to the city center and the port, the overall experience was ruined by the surrounding area. Narrow, poorly lit streets are filled with groups of people, including migrants, lingering there throughout the day and in even greater numbers at night. The atmosphere outside is unsettling, with shouting, fights, prostitution, and drug dealing openly taking place. If you want to enjoy your trip, I strongly recommend spending a little extra for a hotel in a safer and more comfortable area. This is not the kind of place where you feel safe walking outside or even sleeping inside. For women in particular, I cannot recommend this hotel. I felt genuinely scared during my stay.

    It was in the center.

Room 13 were full of moulding. When the windows are closed, the room spells horribly due to the moisture. The shower is in the room and due to that, the room is always humid and i guess that the wallpartition are not adequate for such high humidity.. the toilet is external to the room that is quite annoying in the middle of the night.

Comfortable bed and generally clean room that had what we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the cafe around the corner was tasty and felt like good value for money.

A fair walk from the train station. There were young men hanging around outside the hotel pretty much all the time, and a couple of times they were fighting with eachother (really fighting, for example throwing glass bottles at eachother). I think this made reception staff uncomfortable as the front door was locked at times and they had to let us in. This made us very uncomfortable and we felt unsafe even during the daytime in the streets adjacent to the hotel. The bathroom was a bit dated but functional. Although the staff were very friendly and helpful they didn't speak much English so there was a bit of a language barrier (but then again, I don't speak Italian to be fair!!)

it was a last minute reservation because we had to arrive that evening in Genoa. But due to the fact that several flights were canceled or delayed, I never reached my destination, which made me cancel my reservation at this location... so I have no idea what the location is like, and I'm still hoping and waiting to get my money back for that reservation annulled

The rooms are okay. The staff is very friendly.

It is very loud. Thursday to Sunday night I could hear everything from the street and it was loud until 1-2 in the night

Well. Before we leave, my wife has read some comments about bad neighbourhood, etc etc. They were some young guys offering marijuana etc, but they were friendly, no is no, nobody offended is. In al Genoa, you'll find such things, what you expect from a big port city. Hotel. Really nothing to complain about. Big nice room, clean, bathroom was new, we were really enjoying. WiFi was perfect, very fast. Great location, really few steps from streets with shops, cafeteria, restaurants etc. Next time if we'll be in Genova, we will definitely stay in this hotel :)

    disastrous

In the hotel, the air conditioning didn't work, and the pillow on the bed had bloodstains. We had to figure out where to park the car. When we parked the car, we had to figure out that the underground parking was overpriced and further away. The walls were extremely thin; everything happening in the hallway or in the adjacent rooms could be heard loudly. The light in the hallway shone through the door crack into our room, meaning we always had unwanted light at night. The bathroom was in another separate room in the hallway; the hairdryer didn't work, there was a sticker stuck in the shower and we only had cold water when showering. Although the location was central, it was extremely unsafe; there were homeless people, prostitutes, and very unpleasant individuals everywhere. Police checks were more frequent. The city was very dirty; there was urine, feces, or vomit everywhere. The staff seemed nice but spoke very little English and couldn't help us with the broken hairdryer and cold water.

First i booked that hotel very quickly, on the way to hotel late evening. After booking and payng i saw very bad reviews and felt a little confused but i took a risk. Room was clean, no ants and bugs.Bed was very very comfortable and i like 2 pillows in bed. We had window in the room but ofcourse no normal view, because there are very narrow streets.

Location was in old town, there are very narrow streets and probably many people feel scared. Anyway, i saw some people who wanted sell us some drugs, no violence. i dont recommend this place to families.
