Hotel Colombo Genova

Cannot beat the location.

Its very old and tired. Very little investment in upkeep.

smaller hotel - not typical rooms but have a lot of character and very clean. Fantastic location.

room styles not typical may not suit everyone.

Hotel needs renovation. Room doesn’t have air condition , only fan/ventilator which is impossible to cool room in July. Hotel doesn’t have WiFi also! Basic things. Value for money- for accommodation absolutely not, for location yes

The location was wonderful, just in the center of Genova. The apartment was clean, the stuff was friendly and helpful.

Everything was fine. The the only thing I needed was mini-fridge.

A central location (but difficult to find), close to the Soprana city gate (Due Torri) and the supposed Colombo's house. A choice of atmospheric restaurants nearby. Breakfast on the roof terrace with a (restricted) view over the city

Poor signage hence very difficult to identify, and awkward to reach by car. Interior straight out of the 1970s. Staff (especially the lady serving breakfast) do not seem to care much about the customers and the choice of options is odd - there is no toaster so soft bread has to be processed in a sandwich maker. Nearest parking is in a multi-storey car park some 600m away but then this is historic Genoa, sited on a hill slope ...

Location wasn’t too bad

Horrible room, no blinds to keep out the light, couldn’t shower (too small), furnished inappropriately (looked like something out of a dated R rated movie)!

Perfect location, large historic building, spotlessly clean. Very friendly staff...and an amazing terrace breakfast room. Totally recommend staying here. Grazir mille!

Wifi or any other internet connection didn’t work in the room. the room was very dark. the neighbors house was only 1,5m in front of the window. but better than no window at all..

Good location, close to centre attractions and town

Wifi was not supplied. 0 cell service in room also made it impossible to use internet inside the hotel.

the extra old city centre offers rooms that are quite old but fairly clean and comfy

Very nice staff. Very cute top floor terrace with tables where you can enjoy the sunset. Bathroom was ok, with a confortable shower cabin. All very clean.

- I could barely get wifi in the room, always failing. I was told it was because the room was not well located. Well, in such case I expect the staff to clarify this in the room description or make it clear to the customer in some way before he commits to getting that room. That can be really annoying if you need to work or just be connected.- Bed headborad was wobbly, barely stable on the ground, barely attached to the bedside tables, such that if I sat on the bed and try to lean on the headboard it would move and almost fall.

Wi-Fi didn’t work in the room, the room was dark and dingy and the shower was full of mold
