Nice location in the town. Very clean and comfortable. Had a nice breakfast.

Parking is located a bit up the road, however we were able to pull up close enough to the door to unload/load our luggage.

I loved the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms and hotel overall but also how the staff made us feel at ease from the get-go. Friendly but respectful of each guest’s space and very accommodating! definitely recommend!!

Nothing to mention here but a warning the park is a bit far away from the hotel. Makes for a good morning stroll!

Very friendly staff, good restaurant with vegan options and compared to the rest of the hotels in Portugal very clean! The room was very cosy and the building gorgius!

Parking is way up the street. But due to the location it seems unavoidable and at least there is a large lot reserved for the spa hotel.

Very nice building. Elegant lobby and restaurant. Location to the beautiful park just up the road with trees, waterfalls, swimming pools and peace. Breakfast was good. Restaurant food was good. Spa services were much better than I expected. I had a superb massage one day and then I visited the thermal spa and sauna/steam another. The thermal spa wasn't hot water like a jacuzzi, but it was pure therapy. It had 9 water jet stations around the fairly large chest height pool. Each water jet is aimed at different muscle groups and ends up giving full body massage. It was outstanding. Both the steam and sauna were quite hot and served their purposes very well.I suggest a full day Jeep tour so you can have a guide show you around the Gerês National Park. I chose Gerês Equi’desafios Tel: +351253352803 and they were an excellent tour company. I had a spectacular day with Joáo telling me a ton of information about the area. Let me also mention the park up the street again. Really pleasant forest park with river, waterfalls, lagoons, bridges, park benches, strolling paths and swimming pools. This is free as guest at hotel. I took advantage of this park once each day to sit and read.

So Gerês is a small, one street kinda town and there aren't a whole lot of hotel choices. I chose this place through Booking.com's algorithm. All the rooms face the street so every guest gets street noises (cars, trucks, motorcycles, people) and some big dog on the slope of the hills across the canyon where Gerês sits whose bark echoes in the otherwise mostly quiet night. This dog barked from around 23hr till sunrise quite frequently. Not all night, but enough to be very annoying. Granted this has nothing to do with the hotel, but I'm speaking about layout of the town and thus the location of the hotel. Also, it seems that the AC controller is set my management and not by guest and I felt it was set way too cold. I tried numerous times to raise it, but it always reverted back to 22. I had to shut it off and open the windows which increased the outside noise issues. Also, the water pressure in the shower will barely rinse your hair. Really low flow of water.

The room was large and basically comfortable. The hiking trails nearby were wonderful and this is what made it worth the trip

The room was near the outdoor cafe and the setup kept me awake late and woke me up early. Parking directions were very unclear, costing us a bit of time. Staff was not helpful with parking. Coffee was undrinkable

Nice hotel in centre of town. Spacious rooms and good staff.

Outdoor swimming pool was not on site and a short walk away. Nowhere at hotel to relax outside.

Close to hiking trails

Pool. Indoor is across street. 17€ to use it! And the free outdoor is a 10 min walk! This girls shouldn’t be allowed to say it has a pool. The room you could hear people beside you and above. Terrible sleep as it’s not quiet. Wouldn’t stay here again. No toiletries!

We enjoyed our stay. Great location in the main street of Geres. Lovely room was a good size. Large comfortable bed. Nice breakfast.

The location was great and the hotel itself lovely and clean.

There is no WiFi in the room at all and the staff was not very helpful with solving the issue. Both the indoor and outdoor pools are actually not located in the hotel - the outdoor pool is in a nearby park with an entrance fee and shared with non hotel guests.

This place is a complete scam. Despite advertising an outdoor pool, the hotel doesn’t have one of its own. Instead, guests are given access to a public pool in the village, which is reached via a public street. On top of that, the internet is atrocious. If you’re hoping to work remotely, think again—email access is unreliable, and video calls are out of the question.

Clean, fine location and great service

Old door mechanism. The parking and the sweeming pools are 10 minutes walk.

Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent facilities. The location could not be better. Great buffet for breakfast.

Room was nice, it was spacious and renovated.Breakfast was good even though it had some weird restrictions about some things not being available to everyone god knows why.

I'm disappointed about my staying there given the price I paid.- Room didn't have wi-fi or cell reception.- The hotel pools were 15 min walk without clearly indicating where they were inside the park.- You have to pay for Sun lounger, this was a first in a hotel.- Staff at the pool was a bit to extra with restrictions and how they handle that.Shortly, they know the offer is limited in Geres and take advantage of that. Won't return here unless I don't have another option like this time.

Central location, spacious rooms, very good dinner food. Housekeeping staff very friendly and professional.

Breakfast staff very focus on SCOLDING guests that approached the “thermalistas exclusivo” table even though the sign looks just like any other table sign in the room, less focus on greeting guests and explaining purpose of that table, and on keeping hot dishes hot and always running out of bacon strips. Also bad smell from plumbing in the bathroom masked with air sprays.

The location could not be more central to Vila do Gerês. The hotel is beautiful, the room was huge and the bed was really spacious and comfortable. I slept like a baby and I'm quite fussy about beds and mattresses. The shower/bath was big, the water hot and with good pressure, lovely bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean! The staff was friendly and the breakfast was nice too, European style with some eggs, pastries, fruits, cured meats etc. Would definitely come back again ☺️

Parking is difficult around there - there is a car park but it is quite far away. I can see that when it is summer and busy the car park is amazing though, as you'll struggle to find any street parking.

Superb location, newly renovated, all mod-cons plus spa access, a good restaurant and an excellent breakfast! JUST GREAT!We came here after trying to access the nearby chalet, Teixeira Home, where the cobble-stone access was so slippery and steep that our car didn't make it there. Despite the fact, that booking and the owner did not wave the cancellation fee (!), we are feeling blessed that we found Aguas do Geres. Located right in the middle of a charming resort town, with other good restaurants around, and amazing nature at our doorstep. A pleasure even in the continuous rain we experienced. We will be back, I hope.

Hot water was not very hot in the first 2 days of our stay. Having a bath was not as good has it could be with proper hot water. Issue was only on the first 2 days rest of.our stay was good.Parking for cars was 300 meters from the hotel, which is a long walk specially under the rain
