    Pros +

    • The staff were really friendly and helpful. I really appreciate everything they did and the help they provided during my stay.
    • The beds were super comfy! And the area quiet. Great night sleep. The breakfast had a good chioce, and fresh squeezed orange juice was a bonus
    • This is a decent, basic hotel, simple in its decor. It is very close to the train station and a reasonable walk to the center of Narbonne. Since there was a question on Booking about safety, I'll say that the immediate area of the station was not very inspiring (I arrived after dark), but I was reassured after seeing the hotel's environment in the morning. I never had any cause for concern about safety. The multilingual receptionist was friendly, accommodating and very helpful.

    Cons -

    • Odd layout of hotel (old building), and cheaply decorated in the public spacesNo tea-making facilities in bedrooms
    • I was in Narbonne in mid-November, and there was a sustained cold snap with a fierce wind. The room heating was not adequate, maybe in part because of the high ceiling (the rooms seemed chopped out of an old house with larger proportions). The bathroom did have an efficient space heater that helped a lot with showers. The rather stark breakfast room was cold. I tend to suffer from cold, thought I would mention this for those who also do. In summer the room should be very comfortable.

Basic but comfortable enough. The personnel was helpful.

Old fashioned and hostel-like, not too charming. If you drive, you need to renew the city´s parking fee every three hours.

Nicely refurbished old building. Very handy for Narbonne station (5 mins walk) yet very quiet. About 15 mins walk into town centre. Our room was comfortable and clean, and looked out onto a little rooftop terrace with plants. Bed was great. Nice touches given time of year included a Christmas pattern cushion and small decoration in our room. No lift but they gladly carried our bags up and down for us. Breakfast room was fine (plus Christmas video and music!) and there’s a small sitting area too. Will certainly use it again next time we are in Narbonne!

    Nothing really.

Close to the train station. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and helpful.

    Bad WiFi.

The room was large with high ceilings and french doors onto a Juliet balcony overlooking the street. Beds were comfortable, wifi was good and breakfast was affordable and plentiful with yogourts, breads, pastries, fruit, cheese, old cuts and fresh orange juice. It was an easy 10 minute walk to the old part of town and the front desk person was friendly and very helpful. She recommended a restaurant for dinner which was superb and one of the best meals we had on our 3 week trip full of good meals. Parking was easy, affordable and on the street near hotel.

Excellent breakfast, room spacious, clean and very comfortable, and friendly staff. The hotel is conveniently located for those arriving by train and just a 10-minute walk to the city centre

    9JohnPosted on: 11-20-2025

Excellent (and sociable) breakfasts at reasonable cost. The owners were incredibly helpful in giving local advice.

An older hotel with modern facilities….elegant! Very friendly staff. Fine buffet breakfast. Three minute walk to the train station

    8RawsonPosted on: 11-17-2025

Very friendly, helpful staff. Quiet room. Good breakfast. Close to train station and not too far to walk to the old town

    9SylviePosted on: 11-9-2025

Great location near the train station and 10 minutes walk to downtown, close to the Roman ruins which we visited. Good breakfast at 10€, fresh orange juice, eggs, cheese and meats, fruits, fresh croissants and pain au chocolat. Nice old building.

There’s no elevator, so lots of stairs.

    9DominiquePosted on: 11-6-2025

Great location close to car rental and the station. The staff vas very helpful, and they let us check in early. Very comfortable beds, and breakfast was very good and very reasonably priced.

    8DianaPosted on: 11-4-2025

A very good breakfast with lots of choice.Excellent location, close to the station but walkable distance from the centre of the town.On a quiet street.Clean and comfortable.

There is no lift but owners/staff happy to carry baggage upstairs if asked.

    8HelenPosted on: 11-4-2025

Location convenient to station. Very quiet on a Sunday night. Staff kind and carried suitcase up to first floor. Breakfast 10 euros which was quite good given choice available. Bed comfortable and shower good. Ring to enter and key fob system felt secure - no-one can just walk in. Was a one night stop over so inly had a few hours in the morning to explore Narbonne but loved it. Baggage store for a few hours was no problem.

Walk to centre of Narbonne was fine in the morning - 10 mins to old town - but as single female too dark and quiet to feel safe enough to walk it at night. Fortunately one nearby restuarant open - The Grill Lounge (half way up road between station and hotel). Very quiet but food good.

Friendly, good beds/shower and near the station

    9RoyPosted on: 10-28-2025

Nice old fashioned building with nicely updated rooms, beds, and baths. Conveniently close to the train station. The staff was very friendly. Storing our bikes in a room adjacent to the lobby was conveniently no problem. The breakfast items were excellent even though it did not have a huge variety. The coffee machine made a bigger than average variety of coffee, cocoa etc.

I wish they opened for check-in earlier than 4pm.

Five minutes walk from station. Ten from centre.Large comfortable room.Very friendly and helpful staff.Would stay again.

I love old periodic buildings with historic atmosphere. The parking was free at night. We got the keys, as the reception is closed for safety. I loved it.
