    Pros +

    • There are 2 buildings to this property. We stayed at the one in the old town. We had to take a short walk to get to the other property for breakfast. Breakfast was very good. Lots of choices. If you have a car you will need to park outside of the old town. We never had an issue finding parking. We were there over a weekend and the town square is a lot of fun. Watched a great band on the Sunday night. The staff is great. Very helpful. They gave us lots of great information about what is around the town. I would recommend this place.
    • Upon arrival, the host Gigi upgraded us to their other property. Relais Monastero Santa Teresa which was built in the 13th century and later converted to a monastery. What an amazing place. The decor is vintage with frescos, artwork and history all around. The staff is very professional and the rooms are immaculately clean. The location is in the historic center and once you get your bearings, central to many of the main sights in Nardo
    • Historical building, good location, nice personnel, good breakfast

    Cons -

    • The breakfast was basic and could use a wider selection of foods. It was adequate and the staff was very pleasant and accommodating.
    • Water pressure was very low, but this seems to be a common problem across the town
    • Sofa was a bit grubby and upstairs bathroom a bit tired.

Historical building, good location, nice personnel, good breakfast

Great central location close to the Castle, very authentic room with own balcony and French doors overlooking the street below, spacious room, nicely decorated, a/c unit, lovely breakfast in the parent hotel 5mins walk away, lots of history all around.

Water pressure was very low, but this seems to be a common problem across the town

Large room with air conditioning. Kettle in room. Downstairs bathroom was lovely. Breakfast was excellent. Great location. Good value for money.

Sofa was a bit grubby and upstairs bathroom a bit tired.

Excellent location in Nardo, great base to explore surrounding area. Bedroom was very comfortable and spacious.Staff were super friendly and gave us lots of advice for the area.Breakfast was fresh and varied (in another location about 10min walk away). No parking at property as it is in a ZTL, however we found free parking a 5min walk away everyday so no issues.

    Nothing!

    Location

The photos were deceptive - calling it a suite, and showing a sitting room. When we arrived we were told the sitting room was communal. Not impressed. If that had been clear we would not have booked it and got an apartment instead. The breakfast was at the main property, which we knew, but it really was very basic.

Great location, beautiful building, friendly staff. Very comfortable bed.

We weren't alerted to the fact the apartment was in a ZTL zone, luckily we didn't drive in. The body wash container was empty, two containers of shampoo but no conditioner.

Room was a decent size, with charming layout.Extra pillows were provided. I had 2 bathrooms and my own balcony. Excellent breakfast. It's in a separate location a few minute's walk away.

My room just opened up to a road, making it potentially dangerous for someone traveling with kids- I can see how just stepping out can get you swiped by a passing vehicle. Also, A/C unit was underpowered for the room, with confusing controls. Plumbing was definitely the weakest link - why is the bidet attached to the hot water supply? Other bathroom fixtures clearly need replacing, like shower handles. Small cheap details little this can ruin the experience for US customers.

Great location. Pretty good room but small bathroom

Very small bathroom and my pillow got stolen by staff

Stunning place in a gorgeous Puglian town - and the restaurant, with its lovely panoramic roof terrace, is simply fantastic

Breakfast is good as long as you go before 9 AM (not everything is refilled afterwards).

The pictures not containing a bed are not your room, they are a common space where you can’t sit because of the heat. The room itself is sober, no decoration, not even a glass for your toothbrush, no handsoap, shower water is not really hot. There is a rooftop restaurant above the room, so you can hear heels or chairs until 11-12 PM.Make sure to arrive early as check-in ends at 8 PM. We arrived at 7.50 and the girl was in rush and didn’t provide essential information. We were clueless where the reception and the breakfast was (it’s in Monastero, a 7min walk). You can enter the ZTL for check-in and check-out for 30 minutes for luggage drop-off but this information is very confusing. Make sure to message them upfront about this to get it clear and get your license plate registered.

Breakfast vero good! Lovely bed and many pillows

    1EmarelPosted on: 7-15-2024

    Bad

The breakfast was poor, the bad was not good at all, there were two separated beds in a double room (suite). The price was very hight for what they offered.

    - clean room - situation in Nardò- breakfast quality at Monastero Santa Terese

    - Il Magnano reception wasn’t open on arrival;- waited 1h before someone opened the reception;- no warm water on arrival en day after (sat+sun) so cold showering seemed to be normal;- technical intervention during weekend was impossible;- we proposed a room upgrade at Monastero Santa Terese after the 2nd day. This we’ve got thanks to Vannessa. - room at Monastero Santa Terese was clean except for the bathroom. The roof window was open and there were pigeon feathers an pigeon faeces on the bathroom floor. We’ve cleaned this ourselves and were glad that we finally could take a hot shower after 3 days. - problems with local police because of parking car in pedestrian zone nearby. Parking was advised by receptionist who would “take care of it”.

Breakfast was great - best hotel breakfast in Italy so far! There is a walk to the sister hotel for breakfast but it was manageable. Staff were happy to accommodate our 3 bikes overnight.Rooms were large and comfortable.

Check in process was confusing and hard to organize (no reception at hotel location).

    10SasaPosted on: 4-23-2024

The hotel is in a great position, and there is enough parking nearby. The room was large with a nice terrace. Breakfast excellent. The staff is very friendly.

    9DavidPosted on: 10-30-2023

The location within the town, and the room itself

On certain nights it may be a little noisy as it sits on one of the key pedestrian streets leading to the main square

    10HåkanPosted on: 10-15-2023

Very clean and elegant room with a comfortable bed. Friendly staff, eager to communicate also in English. The breakfast was served in a nearby hotel but just a short walk in the old town. And it was well worth the walk, it must be best hotel breakfast we have had in Italy.

It is a 10, so nothing to add here.

Love the location and the prettiest courtyard

Couldn’t get the television to work and there were no instructions. No staff available after 8pm
