About
Central Hotel is set in a renovated, 18th-century building, in the historical center of Nimes, right behind the ancient roman site, the Porte d’Auguste. It offers soundproofed rooms with private bathrooms. The guest rooms’ doors are decorated by a local artist. Each room is equipped with a TV and a shower. Some rooms feature views of Nimes’ rooftops and the Magna Tower. The Central Hotel has a private bar, and a traditional French breakfast is served every morning. Room service is also available. Free WiFi access is provided in the Central’s common areas, and guests also have access to a luggage room. There is also 1 room suitable for guests with reduced mobility. Central Hotel is 328 feet from a shuttle stop for Nimes Airport, and less than a 10-minute walk from the Gare de Nimes TGV Train Station. The Noter-Dame-et-Saint-Caster Cathedral is just 919 feet away.

Pros +
- The rooms were nice.
- Close to central part of town. Friendly staff
- Good
Cons -
- The receptionist was not bilingual and we had a hard time communicating. However, the next morning there was a bilingual person manning the front desk. They also have no elevator so toting your luggage can be cumbersome to the third floor.
- Limited time allowed for free parking
- No lift, we carry our heavy up narrow staircase, the property is located on quiet side road

Very comfortable, well located and very helpful staff.
Well equipped clean room
Parking
Nice place and really handy to the city centre. Rooms were comfortable even if bed was a bit harder than I would like.
Right in the center.
Very tiny room. No glasses at all in the room. Very very loud if you leave the window open. At 5:30 they start collecting the garbage on the street.
Good location. Friendly & helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room.
Nothing - all good
We had a problem with our toilet and they fixed it!!! Useff was great and so was the guy from Ethiopia who worked on our toilet.
Loved the location!
The property has wifi throughout, staff are friendly, car parking is handy
Rooms are very rundown with breaking parts
Good location for getting around.
Terrible location for noise - quiet as a mouse during the day, horribly busy at night - despite no restaurants down the quiet back street. The pictures must show their absolute best room. Ours had little resemblance.
Comfortable and being in the town centre it was ideal.
I was disappointed to discover that the €10 per night car park fee only covers parking from 5pm until 10am the next morning. This crucial detail was not communicated to us beforehand, resulting in an unexpected additional charge of €15.90 when we exceeded this time frame. The hotel refused to reimburse this amount, stating that the information was displayed on a notice board at the main desk, but it was never mentioned to us verbally. Adding to the frustration, the hotel staff seemed indifferent to my concerns and simply shrugged off my complaint. This lack of transparency and dismissive attitude is unacceptable, especially since, according to the car park assistance, this issue has occurred before. The hotel needs to be much clearer about the parking terms. Future guests should be aware of this limitation when booking the car park.
Excellent location: everything just a few minutes walk away, plenty of choice of bars and food, blessedly peaceful. Helpful staff, decent breakfast. Recently refurbished to an excellent standard, with a lovely little bathroom. Comfy bed.
The room was just about big enough and the furniture standard - bit short on hanging space - but everything you needed and everything in good order.
The location
They double charged my credit card and took over a week to return the money. The person at the front desk was not kind or clear in explaining this situation.... I had to call the hotel and file a complaint on booking.
Our upgraded room gave us more space since we are attempting to relocate to the area. Hotel Central staff (Hassan) was very helpful and informed us about Nimes and provided useful information to us throughout our stay. His morning coffee was great, and both morning & evening conversations were friendly.....thanks!
We could have used a mini-fridge or coffee maker in the room. Very slippery floor in the shower room, so should consider providing shower mats or a non-skid solution.
Great location. Historic building with stone walls and good decor.
There was no lift.
Stylish decor, lots of storage space for clothes and baggage, attentive staff, and perfect location seven minutes walk from train/bus.
Although very clean, room smelled a bit musty.
Recently refurbished. All to a good standard. Friendly, professional mgr & asst mgr.
Their pre-authorisation payment policy means I’m currently out of pocket, still waiting for their bank to refund my deposit (which was for the full € amount). Very unhappy about that. The €10 breakfast is overpriced. Located in a slightly scruffy part of Nimes.
Location was great. Bed very comfortable if a bit tight to the wall. Sitting area compact but usable. Good value for a short stay.
No lift. Room is small.
Excellent location and very comfortable. Also very tasty breakfast available for 10€.Particular thanks to gorgeous Hassan on reception for being so kind and helpful.
Only one thing, it would be nice if the floor of the room was swept. Everything else was super clean.
